From having a quick look at the Torquay forum they seem to think Robbo will be eligible to play against us next month? I hope this is not true???

I didn't think loan players were allowed to play against the parent club?

Think they can, but normally it's up to the parent club whether the player can or not. Same as allowing players to play in cups etc

Correct SP - was it Leeds who had an Arsenal player on loan and then played against Arsenal in the FA Cup a few weeks ago?

Same old news shot ourselves in the foot again will Town management never learn. As much as im sure every club would like to you cant keep every player that goes through your books! Odds of former players scoring are high and Twitter boy payed off for me tonight so cheers Jake. However out of Bradshaw, Collins,Harrold,Vdb, Robinson, i know who i would have loaned out and think it was the best move for both parties.

How can Robinson play tonight and our new signings can't? Apart from davies and the goalie who were signed before the 12 deadline

I was under the impression anyone who signed after midday on Monday would be ineligible for Tuesday night's games, so I was a little surprised to hear that he scored! Doesnt make sense that Wroe was ineligible yet he was? Interesting to hear GT sounding just as baffled by it as well!

I didn't think loan players were allowed to play against the parent club? It depends if it is written into to the loan agreement.

TUFC argue it was an honest mistake.
But in a recent press release the manager admits he was told the mistake by a director during the match.
I think their claim of it all being a big mistake would look better if JR had been subbed once the manager knew about it.

Wouldn't make any difference Ant if Robbo played 90 seconds or 90 minutes, im sure the thought was there once they new he shouldn't of played but they knew they would be in trouble anyway so why pull him off, particularly as he had scored and causing hereford problems!!!

What action can they take? Normally an award of 3-0 victory to the opposition, the opposition already won.
A points deduction or fine?

Twitter- never looked forwrd to a game so much as Torquay v Shrewsbury next month #revenge Does he no longer have a contract with us? I presume he's still under contract to us until the end of the season, he's only on loan at Torquay and he should not be allowed to play for them against us next month unless the club seem to enjoy ex-strikers scoring against us? Would be good to get some confirmation on this......

I think the point being made was his attitude towards us whilst still being under contract to us... He really does come across as a total cock

Was this meant as sarcasm from Robbo? RIP Paul Simpsons team/players at Shrewsbury. Was emotional.

Surely Robinson wanting to play against us is a chance for him to show Turner that he made a mistake in letting him go out on loan???

I seems to think that he can play against us next month, re Tweets? I seems to think that he can play against us next month, re Tweets? He seemed to think he could play the other night too.. On a wider point, I don't really get all the vitriol towards his attitude, on twitter anyway. Alright, the "i must be a really bad player" one was a bit sly, but the majority mentioned on here just come across a bit as banter/sarcasm to me. It's easy to take individual tweets out of context, but as well as any petulance, he's also been amusingly self deprecating at times, thinking after the Crewe game particularly, with his penalty miss. I know generally there's a lot of talk about the players tweeting irresponsibly, but i think it's a decent insight in to the team spirit, and a useful way of remembering that they are actually people. People complain there's not enough of a human side to the game these days - the warmth and enthusiasm with which the whole squad reacted to Jon Taylor's goals the other night, both on the pitch at the time, and on Twitter, was decent to see. I don't really know what my point is, or why i'm still typing. He definitely shouldn't be allowed to play against us..
