Arthur Rowley bar open anyone? Haven't seen it advertised on the website like previous Sky games, or powerleague maybe? Would prefer to watch it somewhere like the Rowley bar with Town fans then in a pub near my house with hardly anyone who actualy cares.

Arthur Rowley bar is open from 6pm til midnight. An email was sent out today but I can't find anything on official site. The email also said 'Hot & Cold Food Available Throughout' and 'Free Prize Draw entry' for various prizes including a signed home shirt.

Saw some advertising in that new one, just off the Shrewsbury road roundabout (which I think they called the three legged pigeon iirc) about them having one of those shiny 3D licenses. I doubt the game will be in 3D, although I'm not sure if it has been confirmed? But either way I'll give them a call beforehand to see if they'll be showing it. I do like to support a new pub if I can, because having run one myself for a few years I know just how hard it can be to establish a solid (decent) bunch of locals, regardless of how many local ales you have, the quality of the pub grub or indeed the existence of a beer garden.
I'll let you all know either way, anyone that wants to join me and Clive are more than welcome.

Surely the Bull in the Barne is a good choice - a good few town fans get in there.

Whats the Beacon like for watching a game? Anywhere in town that would be good? Rarely drink in Shrewsbury these days so have forgotten where the best places are for watching footy, watched a Salop game in the 7 stars once but have heard that place has gone downhill...... the Arthur Rowley bar sounds tempting but I can imagine the drinks will be expensive in there and I guess the place will be packed, but may still be tempted.

The Peacock, or Crown in Coleham, both pretty decent places to watch a match though the Crown often gets overly busy for me (or used to, not been in a while).

Come on FFS Bury is under 2 hours away! That necessary evil called work has gotten in the way. However watching town on tele in the pub is a nice treat.

Come on FFS Bury is under 2 hours away! I think I will save myself spending £40 plus on fuel, entrance fee and refreshments, 4 hours travelling time, when I can watch in the comfort of my home with a bottle of wine by myside. It will make a nice change!
