Makes my blood boil. We are still paying for Simpson's rank incompetence even now - having to pay off his rubbish signings and getting punished by his cast-offs.

May have been a penalty but i haven't seen it, whether its a penalty or not, its not Utds fault the ref didnt give it, coming from 2.0 down away at any Premier League team and winning 3.2, the sign of champions, great Premiership season though. Didn't say it was United's fault, their ability to keep playing and not admit defeat is legendary. Just another example though of refs in many cases not having the balls to make a big decision against one of the top clubs in favour of a little club, which has blighted the game for decades in favour of the likes of Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. I didnt mean to imply you meant it was Utds fault, i actualy thought it may sound like that as i typed it, just pointing out that people will blame Utd, but its the officials fault end of.

I think GT has got it wrong tonight, it was clear we were struggling the moment the 2nd half started and needed to freshen things up. Iam surprised Leslie lasted the full game as well judging from the commentry he struggled 2nd half.

Didn't expect that!! We sounded more than in it first half, sounded as if the home side had the better of it but we were creating. Then what happens after the break...nowt. Nowt going forward at all and that's despite going for a more attacking formation with the changes made. More errors from the defence. Be interesting to see them when the highlights are available. Frustrating... So which Town side will turn up on Friday I wonder...

I think GT has got it wrong tonight, it was clear we were struggling the moment the 2nd half started and needed to freshen things up. At the start of the season it was refreshing to see Turner wasn't afraid to make early changes when he could see things weren't working. Seems to have gone the opposite way in the last few games, doesn't seem to make any changes until it's perhaps too late, which seems especially surprising given how many games we've had this year. I'd assume there'll be a few changes for Bury- as much as anything a few of the players must be knackered. Wasn't listening at the time, but how bad did Grandison's injury sound?

I know our defence on the whole has been good this year! but everytime the ball is near them i fear we're going to balls up ! 2 goals were mistakes today, add that to wycombe last minute, barnet last minute and southend last few minutes, the amount of points we throw away is starting to grind my gears !!!!

On Saturday we had the better of it against Chesterfield. Tonight we make a reasonable start, then fade to nothing 2nd half, while Chesterfield go to Gillingham and win.
How long is a blip? Two wins from eleven - we are well beyond blip territory.
Resilience, bounce-backability - whatever it is, Chesterfield have it and we don't. Our best hope seems to be that few, if any, other teams seem to have it either. Could be that a low points total sneaks a top 3 place this season. Can't see it being us even so, unless we address the midfield shortcomings.

Sounds like the issue was not just centre mid but the back four of holden SCS Sharps and Sadler in the 2nd half.
I agree with the midfield issue though, I understand Disley was subbed due to his hip injury and we really struggled in midfield after that. Teams know where our weakness is and until we sort it we will carry on with inconsistent results.
There can be no doubt the whole team were below average last night though and need a big kick up the a**se!

Can't believe we are still in the play-offs after our recent run. It just shows how open this division is. However, we can't keep relying on others to cock it up.
We play better with Disley in midfield but we can't rely on him with his patchy injury record. Not one, but two midfielders required.

We're not ready to go up. Our squad is just far too weak.
If we had a certain manager (cough cough, Simpson or Peters, cough cough) there would have been loads of threads and chants for their head by now!

Statistics can be twisted any way you want but I though with the above quote, that this stat is rather pertinent 2010-2011 Played 26 Points 39 2009-2010 Played 27 Points 42 So a win against Bury and hey presto identical games and points League Record 2010-2011 Pld W D L F A GD GFA GAA PpG Pts Rank Home Record 13 6 5 2 20 11 9 1.53 0.84 1.76 23 5 Away Record 13 4 4 5 18 17 1 1.38 1.30 1.23 16 12 Overall Record 26 10 9 7 38 28 10 1.46 1.07 1.50 39 6 League Record 2009-2010 [for the same period] Pld W D L F A GD GFA GAA PpG Pts Rank Home Record 13 6 5 2 21 11 10 1.61 0.84 1.76 23 7 Away Record 14 5 4 5 18 22 -4 1.28 1.57 1.35 19 6 Overall Record 27 11 9 7 39 33 6 1.44 1.22 1.55 42 5

Didn't the supporters only start to get into Peters and Simpson into the season after the play-off disappointments? I'd be surprised if we heard anything against Turner this season but if its more of the same next then I think we'll see the same reaction...
Strange though...one season after the next just seems to follow the same path...

Maybe playing at a league 2 club with nice facilities around the players is too easy a life and leads to too many casual performances. Life needs to be toughened up for our squad, it's to much of an easy stroll, they think they are at a championship club but playing basement football. To be honest, whilst I did not go last night, this squad of ours has really P!55ED me off after last night
