Well their will be a few happy "so Called" supporters on B&A that will be happy no doubt. Personaly, I think he was a good player , who like every other player has had a dip in form. That has led to the hounds being let loose. I believe that my manager friend has this afternoon offered him a 18 month contract which he is thinking over.
Good luck Worzel, go and prove the doubters wrong, they will have to find another to turn against.

www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11750_6699302,00.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Strange one this, obviously no cover at right back if he left this month. I'm thinking this is just agent talk, Holden probably wants first team football and his agent is trying to get him a move away.

He's leaving is he? Good news if true I'm sure Deano is a nice enough bloke but the fact of the matter is that he has been turning in below par performances in a Salop shirt for the last season and a half with no more than half a dozen decent games apart from that, just not good enough and I think GT knows that.

Came back did a job this season and then let himself down a little with a couple of poor performances, which must have finally settled Turners mind on him...
I will remember him as a solid enough player, but in a team that needs promotion badley, we need to up the quality and this is one position we can do... I cant blame him for wanting away if thats the case and good luck to him.

Not Agent Talk, I know the manager who has made the offer, and Turner has said that IF he can get set up he can go, but there is no option of his contract being paid up and Turner is also happy for him to stay, but he does not figure in his long term plans

We don't know if GT has someone lined up and has told Dean. I've nothing against him, but it looks as if his times up.

Not the worst right back we have ever had but not the best either. A decent league 2 player but nothing special and if we did go up he wouldn't be good enough so if GT has a better option lined up then great, if not we always have Raven when he is fit anyway who is easily a better player than Holden.

There's more to the Grandison 'loan' deal than meets the eye and I wouldn't be surprised to see him here for the season remainder at least - as for Dean, came back and did a job in the absence of Raven and by no means the only person to blame for that goal at Barnet, good luck to him.

If GT says there is enough cover in defence, then surely Grandison must be here for the season? Otherwise we havent really got cover, unless danny taylor is counted, which would be surprising considering he hasnt played this season. Bit odd as he has been playing of late, guess the mistakes he made has just made GT decide he isnt worth a new contract, and therefore release the wages now.

Good news, he has been appauling in the last month or two and his mistakes have cost us dearly. We will never miss him when we have a quality player like Grandison replacing him.

Came in to replace fans favourites in Darren Moss and Ben Herd, never really won the fans over. My personal view was he was a good attacking full back but got caught out of position too often.
GT has done the honorable thing and told him he wont be getting a new contract here. Would be strange if in this day and age he didn't take the chance of a new contract somewhere else.
Good Luck to him.

Probably summed up very well The first bit is right spot on regading fans demanding to have Herd and Mossy back. I always remember the Aldershot game and people singing "we want our Herdy back", whilst nice for Ben, must have been terrible for Dean The second bit is right as well as he liked to go forward but he struggled to get back and his positional sense wasnt the best. However I dont think anyone can doubt his efforts as even in the Morecambe game he was putting his body on the line and wasnt afraid to get the ball, despite getting stick from the crowd. After the Morecambe I though it would be hard for him to carry on playing for us but knew it was game over after the Barnet game. No hard feelings but will be judged as another case of Simpson releasing players and not bringing in better

Was never impressed when he first arrived............. used to worry me anytime he was up against a decent winger. I won't deny he's tried hard and put in some decent performances but he's never fully convinced me. Moss/Herd/Raven were/are better IMO.
But good luck to him

Decent full back at this level and I don't think the mistakes his made in his last couple of outings for us really reflect him as a player.
I don't think he'll have any problem finding another club, and given his level of experience, suspect his next stop will be with another league club.
Best of luck Dean

Far better than HERD, MOSS was a better player at his peak, but RAVEN far better than all of them. Holden was a fair player, but lacked pace and as said before, tended to lose his man on occassions. Dean will find another league club i am sure. Remember, Dean could play centre half if required, and put in many a stirling performance when called upon to fill in due to injuries.

No offence but im not the person stuck on here at 1.04am
Will a MOD please warn him about this PERSONAL abuse as I had a warning over this, why hasn't he?
Clique? Prove there aint by giving him a warning level!
Thing is pal if Holden didn't cost us them two points we'd be slightly better off in the league now!

And I bet he thinks your a prick as well Personally, I would not call that abuse.............. Abuse in my opinion is where he states "You are a *****", which clearly he has not, however, he has stated that after your dig at Mr Holden, he would think that the aforementioned person probably thinks....... " your a *****" thefore, I believe a warning is not appropriate. and, as a betting man, I would risk a tenner on thinking jonah is correct!!

I'll just ignore Jonah now anyhow, then again what you expect from a man who is sat on here at 1AM in the morning.

Grow up lads...
I wont be taking any action on this, but the word will be removed.... not worth a warning yet, its for repeat offenders that is applicable for....
SSS if you think its best to ignore Jonah, thats your call, but no wadeing into his threads/posts just to keep another argument with another poster going.....

I've never been convinced by him as a full back as I felt his tendency to go too far forward on a lot of occasions and lack of pace in getting back has left us vulnerable on a lot of occasions. Unlike previous full backs he didn't really offer so much in the overlapping front either, and I felt on many many occasions the right sided centre back would have to come out of position to cover him.
That said I was very nervous about him coming into the side again against Crewe away, but it has to be said he had a great game. To be honest, I felt more comfortable with him at centre back than at right back.
However, I just think he was too prone to mistakes / accidents particuarly in the last month - I just knew for example that if there was going to be an own goal or a player completely misjudging a ball I would have been shocked if it was anyone but Holden.

I'll just ignore Jonah now anyhow, then again what you expect from a man who is sat on here at 1AM in the morning. If your going to be as aggressive as you are with your posting then you are your own worst enemy. You are not averse to name calling youself so grow some b##ls and accept it. Luckily I don't have to go to school in the morning so I can stay up until 1pm
