Did this for the Bury game at the GM a few seasons ago; still got called off. Forlorn Hope as I remember it.
Still got a cup of tea out of it and a mention in the program, no match ticket though.

That is a good deal from the club to be fair and if the game goes ahead then it's win win for everybody. I'll certainly be popping along with a dustpan and brush. Make sure you wear your wellingtons.

I heard talk in the Brooklands at lunch that there would be an extra (free of course) bovril to season ticket holders. You must obviously bring the ticket with you. Could be just speculation though!

Credit to the club it sounds like a good deal. The people who help get a drink and a ticket and the club get the game on which they are so desperate for. I wonder if I decide to go I could get a ticket for the Burton game on New Years day but I presume it could be just for home games.

Typical no reward for season ticket holders. Although it sounds as if the gutsy ground staff have scoffed 499 of the mince pies, the word on the street, is that the last one will be raffled off, season ticket holders only. www.shrewsburytown.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10443~2245000,00.html

Wont the club need 100s of people to clear the car park.If about 20 people turn out there will be no chance.

The club had specialist equipment brought in and the car park was clear by 12... www.shrewsburytown.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10443~2250134,00.html Volunteers cleared all the stands and pitch side areas and salted.. No reason why it shouldn't be on as it seems to be all in hand.. On Midlands today tonight i believe.. Good speech by GT prior to starting!!

I have been at the ground too this morning.I think there will be about a 80% chance the game will be on now.I never knew learing snow could be so much fun. The soup was nice.

Think the next stage is that the car park will be gritted in full tonight and a local referee brought in tomorrow to do an initial pitch inspection although I fancy the chances will be that it will be passed fit at the mo. Snow will be cleared from the pitch on Boxing Day morning.

Massive shout to all those folks who made the effort to get down to the stadium to help out, superb effort that and greatly appreciated... I'm worried I may not get to see the Town at all this season with how the weather is looking but at least I know there might well be a sniff of a chance due to the efforts of Town fans...

Credit due to the club too - well planned out from what I can tell in terms of the arrangements for today inside the ground and outside, and how best to cover the pitch etc.

Well thanks to the club officials and the volunteers, it looks as if the club have given it their best shot. No one can complain now if it's off.
