Well so far at least - Michael Vaughan summing up on Radio5 at close of play. "Australia's bowlers need to spend all night in the nets - they have forgotten how to bowl. Its not as if they can get dodgy LBWs anymore with the referral system, They're knackered"

Listened on radio and Geoffrey Boycott summed up one bowl with a howl of laughter and commented saying ''the bowl was so dreadful Haddin could of swung a stick of rhubarb at it'' Made me laugh anyway

Another good day for England. I woke at about 645, so watched the aussies fight back a bit, but still England very much in charge. And looked very comfortable when they came out to bat. Expect another big total tomorrow. Timings a bit more annoying for this one. Can't fall asleep to TMS.

Another great day for England. I think the toss was a real important one to win this time around. You sensed that the Aussies were desperate to bowl first and come out and have a real go at us. I think they were looking to be more aggressive from the off and whilst that may have helped them with the ball, with the bat they were chasing after stuff they didn't really need to...
By the by, I thought the times were a lot better this time around. You can get up early doors at some reasonable hour and catch a fair bit of the days play...

Never mind the qoutes - what about the awesome catches by Collingwood and Swann!
If we can put a good score in we will have a great chance of winning. Exciting stuff.

119-5 at lunch. Very indiciplined batting from the lads, the Aussies haven't been that good - the last over before lunch was one of the worst I've ever seen in Test cricket (nearly 8 wides). We wont be far off their total and If we have to chase 350 we have one hell of a chance

This partnership between Prior and Bell will be very important, and any runs that the tail can add could prove to be vital.
Johnson has bowled well, the others, including the fat Joe Swash (Siddle) haven't impressed.
Some slack shots have cost us wickets, lets hope it hasn't cost us in the wider picture.

Interesting hearing Boycotts views on Bell - "Technically by far the best player in the team, he doesn't realise how good is himself" The only other player Boycott ever praised was himself

Bell has got to 50, I think he has got to bat a bit higher in the order now, but where would he fit in??

A couple of quick wickets from the opening bowlers and the pendulum could quickly start to swing back our way
