Was a good match. Birmingham won Then at full time, a very large number of Birmingham fans invaded the pitch and have run all the way over to the Villa fans to celebrate right in front of them and the police and steward cordon It now appears according to radio 5 commentary that missiles are being chucked including flares - to and from the two sets of fans. The villa fans are being kept in It's still continuing, and now riot police are in. Idiotic birmingham fans - what a way to celebrate winning and getting into a semi final - taunt the rivals, invade the pitch and carry on doing so despite the police warning them to go back. All on the eve of whether this country gets the world cup. MORONS!

I expect it's nothing, just handbags. Another cracking post there lad. Couple of thousand headed straight to the Villa end and there was plenty of bottles etc. exchanging hands. Very disappointing but is anyone surprised?

It shows what a state our country is becoming, every week now things like this are happening its happend at 3 town games so far this season and i expect it to get worse all over the country. The 80's are back in such a sense, CCTV is the only thing preventing it from really kicking off thank goodness, but lets be honest its onlyu a matter of time, people are fed up. You could say towards the end of last season with Grimsby at Burton and Luton at York what was starting to happen.

It was all sorted quickly by the police, no need to worry. It could, and should, have been a lot of worse. Nothing to worry about, I expect there would have been more trouble if Villa had won.

It must have taken at least 10 minutes to sort and several flares were thrown into crowds of people - if people haven't sustained injuries from that i'd be amazed.
And god knows what happened when the villa fans were actually allowed out

And on the 'First Accrington fan to be banned' thread somebody says that the police are always treating us football fans like animals - Really, I suggest that some take their blinkers off and take a good look around at some of the goings on of some so called football fans. I know what part of 'us' I belong in and it's not the part being mis-treated by the police.

I remember one night at St Andrews was very very tricky.
Barry Fry era: Bizzy berated Jose Dominguez warming up for ages.
There was all sorts being chucked at us, coins, bottles of wee, it was horrible. On the way out that was amongst the most scary experiences I have had as a town fan. We really were running the gauntlet between the police and blues hooligans looking for trouble.

I got a cup of coffee thrown over me from the tier above, was pretty p**sed off at the time but in retrospect if they were chucking p**s it could have been worse!!

Think so, evening game, we were in the bottom tier. I learned lots of new ways of offending a spaniard that night!

Yeah, '95-'96 season - we were in the 3rd / League 1. Got to be. Bit tasty that night. Blues are a dreadfully classless club IMO. No success. A chip on their shoulder the size of a small african country, and absolute scumbag hooligans. I remember watching England beat Germany 5-1 in the Gosta Green on Aston Campus (where I studied). Halfway through the game the pub filled up with Zulu warriors and the atmosphere changed instantly. At the end of the game the TVs went off and the lights went on and in came riot police to clear the pub. As we walked out and away from the trouble we saw rows of dogs, then horses, then over 15 riot vans behind, and the Zulus spilled out onto the street and went straight at the police, bottles, glasses the lot. Unbelievable really: it was utter carnage.

Where as I was sat in the blues end when Salop played there in the league cup 4 years ago, with a Salop shirt on, cheering on the lads and happily chatting away to the blue noses with no hassle what so ever

Unbelievable really: it was utter carnage. i can remember a pre season friendly against them , in the early eighties, sat with my 11 and 12 year old friends, being mocked and goaded by grown men in what seemed like their 30's(probably mid 20's everyone looks older when yr young). so yes, in my experience, utterly classless fans.

SCUM BAGS!!!
Was there last night and whilst I can't condone the Villa fans for ripping up the seats and throwing them I have to say if I was a Blues fan I would be embarrassed to be associated with BCFC today. What a way to celebrate beating your closest rivals and getting through to a Semi-Final.
There was all sorts being chucked at the Villa last night from the adjacent stands and from above, never mind the morons that invaded the pitch and confronted the away supporters.
The police were also very slow in sorting it out.
I hope they all get life bans and the club suffer a hefty fine. Better still kick them out all together. (Not bitter,, much!!)

I made my posts, without seeing it. Having seen them now, I must backtrack. i wouldnt worry too much about it, you did say expect, and could easily be forgiven as the media always make a s**tstorm over stuff like this. we all talk bollox on here but for some reason it's a problem when you express an opinion. i rarely agree with them, but it does seem that there are people on here whose sole reason for membership is to give you a bit of grief. say what you want and dont worry about this lot

However, in this instance I don't understand why anyone would comment on something they haven't seen the board would be much quieter if they didnt , i know i have been guilty of it in the past i think if anyone else had said what SMARF did, there wouldnt be any comments and i feel for the guy sometimes even though it could be argued he brings much of it on himself.
