You beat me to it! He has left this morning by mutual consent... seems sensible for all concerned

He didnt make a massive impression, but i honestly feel if we tried him out this week he might have cropped up with a few goals.

Probably the best thing for both sides - but I did think he was starting to get his act together towards the end of last season.

Damn this is a shame indeed - his Mrs was certainly a bit of alright.

I'm sure he is winging his way to Edgeley park as we speak.

More importantly this will hopefully free some finances up for hopefully securing the services of Mark Wright and albeit a long shot, Matt Sadler too.

A better player than a lot of people gave him credit for.
Good luck fella.

Good point - judging from what Kris ordered in Rococco's he must have been on a fair wedge too; what convinced me of this was the side order of garlic bread.

It's all ifs and buts (as will be proved by my use of both words,) but I do wonder whether if he'd been given a proper run in the team earlier in the season, rather than a few 10 minute cameos here and there, he might have turned out to be a good player. He showed some promising glimpses after Simpson left, and I thought he might prove to be a useful player this year.
Probably right time to leave, with his injuries and Harrold's form he was unlikely to get a first team spot, but a shame it didn't work out. Best of luck to him.

Gutted, always willing to chase the opposition down and not given a fair rub of the green in my opinion.
Fact is Harrold has come in and played very well and Brighty has had a fair few injuries.

Probably in a minority of 1 but I still believe that Nathan Elder can and hopefully will prove to be a creditable player when he returns and listening to GTs' interview on ShrewsPlayer last week I get the impression he feels that way too.

A decision which cost Paul Simpson his job in my opinion. Goodbye Kris and good luck.

The injuires and lack of pre season prep didnt help the lad but not good enough in a million years as previously said an error that went towards Simmos downfall, good luck Kris owd lad.

Shame. Did think he had something, but never had much of a chance due to injuries and other reasons. Good luck to him, I'm sure he will find a club, seems to have plenty of links worldwide from the clubs he's played at. How soon is Elder expected to be back?

Nice chap, but I am afraid his signing was a faux pas by Simmo . Good luck Kris wherever life takes you

A better player than a lot of people gave him credit for. Good luck fella. i have to disagree with that, just not good enough at the end of the day, has had his opportunities over the last season and a half to make an impression but I just think it took him far too long to get used to the way lower league football is played in England, will be interesting to see if he remains in English football or if he decides to go on his travels again and play in some obscure Eastern European league that will make him look good, I hear Guy Madjo is doing ok in Albania?

Nathan Elder has all the attributes to become a useful lower league striker, a bit like in the 'Marvin Morgan' mold, just needs some confidence IMO, has always been a better option over Bright, although he has been just as poor as him in many games before his injury.......

Stockport wouldn't be a bad move for either party. Bright gets to play in England still, Stockport get some much needed goal threat. I think if given a consistent run in a side, he can score goals at this level. but we've got better options and unfortunately it wasn't to be. Kris himself on twitter said nothings sorted yet, possibility of a comment from Robinson?

Bizarre signing really
Simpson made such a big deal about his signing that raised people's expectations, and then he rarely featured under Simpson and was quickly transfer listed after hardly appearing after the appalling Staines debarcle
And then when Simpson left he actually came in and looked ok
So can't really see why he'd go join simpson

Seen the tweet off Robbo and I'd presume it's ! He transfer listed him a year ago! Simply not good enough, would have been ideal for him if he had started more games but he started 4 games last season and come off the bench 22 times as well and has shown near enough nothing. Not his fault he was personally driven back to sign a contract by Simpson after a good 70 minutes in a pre season match. One particular occassion I remember him for was Rochdale last season how he got the ball unchallenged near the corner flag and then passed it 30/40 yards back straight into the path of a Rochdale player for them to break. Who knows things might have been differently if his international clearance was cleared in time for the first game of last season. Hibbo came straight in, did well and Simpson decided to stick with him. He could have had a good run of games then but keeping Hibbo in the side instead of Bright was one of Simpson's very rare good decisions.

Poor signing and never looked remotely close to being a decent player at this level.
If he goes on to do well good luck to him.
Harrold showed more in his first 20 minutes of what it means to be a lower league striker than I have ever seen from Bright since he arrived.
And his celebration after scoring a goal in the Shropshire Senior Cup final just left me thinking the guy was a bit of numpty.
