Is this for an actual game Jaytee? You are joking! Although it would be quite funny. I think there might be a few "injuries", before the game could take place!

I dont know I would love to see two teams playing 4-2-4 playing each other.... I predict goals, and lots of long balls... Think it might be time for another B and A game soon though, the last one was a hoot, and good see a varied number of members there. Anyway for your "fun" Glyn Price Cumbersome Striker with the pace of Kevin Davies, the aerial ability of Paul Scholes, and the shooting accuracy of Emile Hesky (on a bad day). After playing junior football primarily from the bench as a kid, my big break came after being talent spotted by Ant Thomas while kicking people during the regular B and A games in 2003/2004… and soon signed for the might STFC ASFC. In the 7 years with the ASFC have bumbled home 75 goals, mostly off my head or backside, broken one ankle, had a Hernia, been voted Donkey of the Season once, and someone how won a top scorer trophy! Also scored at the Prostar Meadow in the Annual Staff vs Supporters game…. It looks like a great achievement, till you realise that Whitters was in goal! Highlight came when playing in Barcelona for the ASFC, I saying playing, we mainly went for the beach, sun and getting kicked by big Catalan Lads from the semi pro side up the valley from Barcelona! Now 30 and one of the Vets of the ASFC with the younger members reffering to me as “an old man” the other week. Bad times!

Now only short of 1 midfielder and 3 defenders for the 2nd team for another 4 - 2 -4.
Yes, it would be funny if we could do it for real.

I've never played too much, last played 'proper' football for the ASFC around ten years ago before they became the young, super fit team that they are today I played at left back mainly, with the occasional left wing appearance or left sided centre half, as I have two left feet, so anywhere on the left would be great!

That's fantabulous. 2 defenders and a midfielder and we can rock and roll.

Schizo Im afraid you have not been informed well... Young?? Several of the squad 30+ now, some more so! Only two members of the youth team less than 19! Super Fit?? Well possibley a couple of them but in general super fit is not a word I have seen to decribe us recently! TO many nights out, and take aways some times taking there toll on a Saturday morning recently! That the said the core of the ASFC players have been together around 7 years now, but we get new people starting all the time, our most recent new regualr is also the oldest!

No chance of accepting a ringer for ASFC for the game against BASFC should it go ahead by some miracle on NYD? I could bring a knowledge of most of the squad... not that you ever needed it.

Why would you not play for the BASFC team? Are you not involved there any more? And Hopefully it will be decent weather, with last winter and the start of this winter we have had lots of games called off...
As for the ASFC, im not the person to ask... its open to anyone that want to play and support the town, you need to contact the manager Andy Davies... Welshcliffe on here if your serious. Im not sure if you know him or not? If not I could do with some pics for the proggy this season if your about and have Camera handy?

Well, I'm only half-serious. As in, not serious at all unless it was a possibility - which I doubt! I've no ties to the modern BASFC, it's run a bit differently now, I've not been involved for ages even as a snapper. For all I wrote above about BASFC, my heart will always lie with ASFC I miss my last five minutes-cameos... If it goes ahead, which I doubt purely based on what I expect New Year's Day weather to be, then I'll at the very least be there as a spectator - will see if I can get the good camera from my Dad and take a few pics, of course. Oh, and talk to people this time - last time I was just starting the slope to diabetes and was in the middle of one of the mood swings! Next B&A game I'm there, anyway!

I'm in so long as i dont have to sprint or anything that isnt considered gentle exercise, also, i believe you arent allowed to smoke during games like when i was at school, and i would need a fag break, so rolling substitutions

Gp have we made a new signing? Also we really need to establish the age of our standout currently injured keeper before making these rash statements! Apparent oldy here might be good for twenty mins at the back Jaytee if you are struggling for defenders, i can still reach row z when called upon

bit part rugby player turned occassional asfc reserve.
Main strength looking confused at what i am supposed to be doing and recieving "instructive" advice from Ant Thomas. Also like to slide in and at least get the kit dirty
Final ball is also a bit hit and miss.
Warning: normally disorganised and often late. Occassional no show due to alarm clock issues.
Positions: right back or wide midfield, bench (basically somewhere out the way)
