England's presentation was the stand-out one. All the others were poor, decision expected to be made by 3pm. They haven't even done the Russian one yet. Yet another post just for the sake of it.

Spain/Portugal was dull, Englands was quite outstanding to be honest.
Russia's bid presentation is looking as though could be slightly better.

I like that Qatar will build other folk stadiums out of the stadiums used in the World Cup, nice touch. Cooled stadiums too. But I think what we all want to know is whether you can drink an ale there during the tournament? Is ale banned there?

I can't see anyway we can win it over the russians Me neither, IMO it's a done deal I hope I'm wrong but we havent got a clue about what really goes on behind closed doors when people "scratch each other's backs If the Ruskies do get it then they have a lot of work to do in terms of hooliganism & racisism (mind you don't we?................... )

Our presentation was excellent. Absolute genius.
I would be deeply disappointed if Russia won it, partly because hardly anyone will go, it will be dangerous and expensive.
Spain & Portugal is a great party in the sunshine so is no major loss. If it can't be England let it at least be the Iberian bid.

5live seem to think we have made the final 2.
Why are the BBC at Franchise FC? I realise they are part of the bid but couldnt they have gone elsewhere?

Apparently Spanish radio are reporting Russia have won it, Abromovic looking smug, Prince William looking dejected.... Insider knowledge maybe?
Nah..... Russia were always going to have it... Weren't they.
Decision in about 10 minutes..

quite an appropriate choice, a corrupt country with a corrupt competition. personally i hope we pull out of international competition, someone has to show the lead, why not the country that formulated the rules
