But thr trouble is with google we can all play this game ie here is an attack on Monbiots credibility www.guardian.co.uk/environment/cif-green/2010/jul/29/richard-north-response-george-monbiotHowever the key question for me is- Is it true for example that there are people dying earlier than they would in other EU countries because the NHS is not as efficient as for example the German health system, I honestly dont know the answer to that question Thats why I say the programme made me think and want to read more not because I necessarily agreed with it -The guy made me think which as I said tribal voices like the Mail and Toynbee never do they just toe the party line Whether Polly Toynbee's article 'made you think' or not, she at least backs up her argument in the article I've linked to with reliable, recognised sources such as Income Data Services and the Office of National Statistics', as well as other verifiable facts. I don't agree with everyting she writes but for someone who 'toes the party line', there appears to be some criticism of Labour in the article I have linked to. I don't think the attack on Monbiot, a response to this article : www.guardian.co.uk/environment/georgemonbiot/2010/jun/24/sunday-times-amazongate-ipcc quite puts him in the same league as Durkin. Read his book, 'Heat' and see the intellectual rigour he subjects his own arguments to. He's a far more reliable source than Durkin, in my opinon. Is Durkin a 'free thinker'? I'd say his tribe is the pro-individual, libertarian right wing.

sorry shrewsace I am not trying to annoy you but dont think were going to agree on this one the question is not what wing does Durkin belong to but is what he says about the NHS -for example-true or not and IF its true then why -as you say we have opinions but we need facts
all the best

......So basically, we are giving 7 BILLION pounds which we havent got to Ireland as they are bankrupt, as 31% of their trade is with the UK and not to do so would be detrimental to a number of private sector companies in this country. Anyone still thinking "WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER" needs a shrink. Only £300 per household.....hey ho

Surely we are borrowing money at 2% because the Arabs & Chinese think we're a good risk and lending it to Ireland at 5% because we think they're a good risk 3% of 7 billion = £210 million

As would most private sector yuppies Dont think I didnt notice that the FTSE opened 40 points up at 8am this morning - those stockbrokers were clearly gutted by Osbornes billions to help out the private sector - where has that come from I wonder
