Cant think of any town centre pubs likely to be showing it as theres very few that show sport. Your best bet is ones either on the outskirts of town (Nags, Crown Coleham, Dun Cow, Rock & Fountain etc) or the ones more in the residential areas (Beacon, Brooklands, Peacock, Steam Wagon, Heathgates etc)
By the way, those arent a list of places I know are showing, just places I know that do show sport normally so could potentially be showing it

If you fancy Harrison to beat Haye then it may be worthwile having a sneaky bet on him to win Sports Personality of the Year at 100/1 with Laddies.
He's currently 6/1 to beat Haye, but a win almost guarantees him at least 3rd place in Spoty and that would equal 20/1 @1/5 the odds.
There's no strong contenders this year with Tony McCoy top of the betting due to his National win.
Personally, I think Fraudley's rubbish, but value is value !

have a mate going to it, at 90quid a pop. Can't really see the attraction of boxing myself. Especially paying that when it could be over in seconds!

I think the under card will be more interesting.
But I do have to say that listerning to boxing on the radio is quality!
And the BBC have some of the best, so will probably tune in to listern.

What a s**t fight If you can call that a fight.Harrison should not get paid for that performance throwing 1 punch in 3 rounds is a outrage. I have never seen a fight that not one punch was thrown in the first round.

Harrisons' pre-fight talk and hype in the press and on Sky TV combined with tonights performance have done nothing more than prove my belief correct in calling him a turkey........
All gobble and s**t!!

Well my money on a first round knockout was wasted, would of been better betting on no punch's being thrown - the beauty of hindsight Dreadful fight though, embarressing considering Harrison has been saying he has too much for Haye etc he threw like one punch at most.

Did anyone really think it would be anything other than an easy win for Haye? A mismatch from when it was announced. Boxing is becoming a joke. Well not becoming, it has been for years...

Why don't the boxing federations make the matches? It appears to be the only bloody sport in the world where the boxers decide who they fight when!

I have never seen a fight that not one punch was thrown in the first round. Haye has this morning divulged he had a significant bet on himself to win in round 3. Explains a lot that - but surely he's broken a law somewhere

If you think boxing is a joke you should of watched the Pacquaio fight. How 2 men can fight like that for 12 rounds is amazing.

Your right, its heavyweight boxing that is a joke when for years it was the pinnacle Read a quote somewhere yesterday which said that Haye promised to come in and sort out the heavyweight division and make it respectable but he's proven he is more interested in money by taking on joke fights such as last night.

I thought it was daft that the fight was scheduled in the first place, Harrison's awful.
Didn't his contract with ITV Sport to cover his fights get cancelled a while back or am I making it up?

Outside of the Klitchkos there isn't really anyone Haye can fight that will get people excited.
Everyone knows about Harrison, so it was a logical fight. Haye will have cleared £6/7 million from it and it was front and back page in a great deal of the newspapers for most of the last week or so.
Pac-Man Margarito fight was a disgrace of an event:
A fighter that can't get a license anywhere else in the US because he previously used loaded gloves and has just come back from a suspension
Fighting at a catchweight of 151 pounds, three pounds underneath the actual championship weight...
Oh and both fighting for a championship belt at a weight neither had either fought in previously or beaten any of the leading contenders, one Ryan Rhodes for example.
At least the Haye Harrison fight was upfront and honest about what it was, Haye even admitted that Harrison didn't deserve his shot. The other big fight taking place in America was pure smokes and mirrors with two fighters out of the same promtional stable getting it on...

You make it sound like Pac- Marg was a glorified sparring session, Marg had to go to hospital afterwards it was an absolutely brutal display by Pacquiao which showed why pound for pound hes the greatest fighter at the moment. Haye and Harrison was a disgrace charging £15 for a fight that everyone knew wasnt a contest, if Haye had thrown a few in the first round it wouldn't of even lasted 3 minutes.

I would count "a few" as more than two, and that's all I counted in the first round. As for the 15 quid to watch it, I can't believe there are that many people of limited intelligence who would pay it. Edit; Sorry, I hought you meant Harrison had thrown a few.

Steve Bunce has some views on the fight ("event boxing") at the end of this vid: Link------> Steve Bunce Agree that Haye didn't have many options as most of the division is a joke. You can argue he's cleaning up the division by taking out jokers like Harrison who still get attention despite achieving nothing in the pro game. If you pay for boxing you should always be doing so for the whole card. I went to Calzaghe-Manfredo which was a similar mis-match to this with the name of the latter guy a bigger factor than his skills. The undercard was great though with some awesome fights including Michael Jennings, Amir Khan, Macarinelli, Chisora and Rhys. If you rock in before the 'big' fight you may be disappointed at what you get for your money (TV too).

George Groves Kenny Anderson was a brilliant little fight. A hugely promising young super middleweight tested and taken out of his comfort zone for the first three or four rounds.
As for the PAcman fight, yeah he's a great pound for pound champion but he's fighting for a linnier belt at a catchweight against an opponent, who's seasoning is disputed, who shouldn't be in the ring in the first place and was still a pretty big mismatch.
Margarito's punching power is questionable, he has a great chin and has only been stopped once, but one fight in 18 months combined with some big battles has done little to maintain what speed he had (never really had much). This fight was ramped up to the same level as the Haye/Harrison was and I believe was PPV in America.
Yes Margareto got a beating, but he was always going to get one, he is a Mexican and unlike Harrison the one thing you can't level at him is that he lacks heart, however stylistically and power wise he was always on a hiding to nothing. A nice safe bet.

Maybe people paid £15 because a) on the off chance he won, wow what a piece of history,
b) more likely to watch him get smashed up and remove all pretense and delussional bulls**t he had been spouting.
