Which was in response to: "Hey Wrighty, you coming back to the Rovers? Wouldn't blame you if not. Good to see you doing well at Shrews. Regards. " Presumably from a Rovers fan.
Hope he stays, and it sounds like he does too. Wether the negotiations are successful is another matter...

May not go back to Rovers but could easily see other League 1 clubs sniffing around him.

Hes ours man, our most valuble player this season, doesn't always play well but has an uncanny eye for goal for a winger.

One of the best players this season. If we have any aspirations of promotion we must keep hold of wrighty!

Clearly shows he wants to stay. Lets hope the board can sort it out. One of the best players this season undoubtedly

My brother Mick knows one of his mates (so this is only third hand information) but word is that he is keen to stay on here.

It seems Wright is never going to return to Rovers, they don't seem to rate him and judging by comments he doesn't like them either. It looks good for us, but all it takes is a local league one club interested and its cheerio to Wrighty?

VDB is a striker not a winger, how many times?? well why does he always seem to play on the wing when he does appear Under Simpson that was the case, but he is seen by GT as much more of a striker role and he is always thrown in as one of the front two this year.

GT has previously stated that he is finding it hard to find a role for VDB, his typical role in Holland was playing in 'the hole' behind the two strikers, a role which we do not use at present. GT made it clear that he doesnt not see him as a winger but more so as a striker, however its hard to see him pinning down a regular place in this role due to the good form of Harrold and Robinson so far this season, despite some useful displays coming off the bench earlier in the season.

I haven't seen enough of him to make that sort of judgment - and I'm not convinced anyone else has either.

I've been to quite a few reserves games this season and VDB and even Bright have both more than impressed with quality goals, but with robbo netting so many and Harrold being better at being a target man i wouldn't know where to put him, the lad has some serious talent though that there is no doubt and certainly worth keeping even if developing a role for him to progress into. The lad is quality no doubt. If i were Turner I'd extend both contracts for VDB and Bright as they are both still developing as players and both are a talent and although not fired on all cylinders yet there are more than capable. Elder i'm afraid is never gonna be the same player Brentford had because of injury, time to let him go and wish him all the best.

I make no secret that I am a huge fan of VdB. Personally, I can see him being kept on for another year, certainly if we do make this season a promotion winning campaign. He is big, physical and pacey enough for League2. He has the footballing ability and talent to play at League1 level in my opinion. The eye for goal, and work rate will earn him credit with the manager. This season is about getting promotion, and trying to fit VdB into the set up if possible. He is certainly an asset.

Entirely agree. In all honesty if he had his match sharpness this season he could have had a couple of goals to his name and there would be calls for him to start! Give the lad a run of games then judge. He would have been the ideal replacement for Disley at Crewe, not sure why Steve flaming Leslie was brought on. What a waste of time he is.

Why? Fast, physical player with an excellent eye for goal (as anyone at the reserve game against Morcambe will agree) OK there is no place for him in the squad at the moment with Robinson and Harrold doing so well but he's a bloody good back up! As for Wright he has proven to be a class above Ainsworth. While Wright was retaining the ball and getting an attack going Ainsworth just seemed to give the ball away sloppily when he came on against Southampton.
