Sounds very similar to the end of his reign here.
Also having a pop at the fans.
I think Stockport may be looking for a new manager quite soon!

"Simpson also branded referee Geoff Eltrincham’s decision to dismiss his son, Jake, for deliberate handball inside 10 minutes as ‘incredible’ and rapped a section of the travelling fans who sang ‘we want our money back’ from the terraces". Why the **** would he describe the sending off of JS as "incredible" He handballed it on the line stopping a goal. Its an automatic red card for this offence. And as for the fans, well we all remember his rants on Radio Salop Its not my fault, its not my fault, its not my fault, etc etc

To be fair, we don't know the Stockport players.

He should be asking why the players didn't listen to him rather than having a blast. Looks like Simpson is going for "legendary" status at Stockport too.

I reckon Simmo is doing a cracking job at what is essentially a club in crisis. He is the right man for the job imo

I think Mr Gannon is still in attendance at every home game, having his name sung out. :-) Oh Paul, you've learned sod all Absolutley. I dont think he'll ever learn. This MO has been part of his make up everywhere he's been when the chips are down. He has set bar of expectancy low upon his appointment, so 4th bottom is probably a relative success so far for the fella.

If it carries on for him like this, last job in League football?
Unless of course he proves himself in Non-League?

I made a comment yesterday to one of Simmo's former charges here at Shrewsbury that I "almost felt sorry for Simmo". I can't put his exact response on here but it was safe to say that he believes one manager who doesn't deserve any sympathy is PS.
Make of that what you will.

But as others have said, they are not on the best footing at the minute Stockport and if they manage to stay up I think they have done ok. I think most preseason predictions I saw had them for relegation or near on...aren't things a tad unsettled off the pitch (as well as of it)...

Lets be honest he should stick to TV punditary, because as a manager he has failed 3 times out of 4. I know some fans think he is a nice fella, but for STFC, based upon the budget he had, he was a disaster.

Was surprised when Simpson was offered the job at Stockport, and a little surprised he took the job.
It's well known they are in financial trouble and in all fairness to Simpson he's successes as a manager have come when he's had a bit of cash to spend.
Thought they would have gone for an ex player or manager who has got clubs out of a fix before, and created a "we're going to battle through this together" mentality
