A simple solution to all these wranglings is for the FA to rule that for FA Cup games there should be no reductions in prices purely because the away side have a share of the receipts. No matter how Southampton dress it up, the long shot is that Shrewsbury's share will be reduced with price cuts.
As far as league games are concerned they or any club can do as they choose because they retain all receipts.

I presume we do not get a share of the buffet and car parking takings either, which will be much higher with the lower ticket price attracting in more punters. Southampton looking to line their own pockets.

I dont get the argument about it swaying more STFC fans to travle becase its chaper...
frankley with petrol costs and the amount of time it takes to get there the whole things a nightmare for his cost and time wise... reduceing the ticket by a couple of quid makes no difference... the fact its an FA cup game or a new ground for most is a much higher factor for people who are deciding whether to make the trip...
I dont see this as an attractive fixture for us at all...

The only question i have is do they reduce ticket prices for the less attractive league games?
If they see themselves as a premiership club then shouldn't they be charging a lot less week in week out when playing Rochdale, Exeter, D&R etc?
