Im guessing this is in relation to the other night and a certain individual. If that is the case then I hope for his sake that he gets nothing more than a fine.
Without getting into another debate about the said person, it must be said that the entering the field of play is a grey area because whilst it is is against the law it is down to how the relevant club/stewards/police deal with it. Some do nothing, some kick the people out whereas others will arrest the fans and obviously charge them.
Incidentally, the minimum banning order that can be dished out by the courts is three years

Just hope for his sake he is not made a example of by the courts.

I was 54 when Plod dragged me away handcuffed from the Port Vale riot so as Heavenly says ..point being? Isnt it more about circumstances and actions rather than age or am I missing something? ?

"something youd expect of an 18 year old"
Knew it,what a crass assumption, hence my post above.
Its about circumstances and actions not age.......I suppose I was acting as a 12 year old when Plod arrested me.........
To cut a long story short I received a humbling, grovelling apology from officer concerned and his senior officer.

If this does apply to who we all think it does then I'm personally saddened to hear it as my 10p would be on a ban being the outcome.
I do hope owd lad in question does get good defense support from any of his mates in his plea for clemency at said hearing.

Presumably the guy who joined in with the goal celebrations rather than the aforementioned gentleman discussed in a previous thread?

Hey I sat behind the goal last week, when are they going to re-name it the Shropshire Tory Stand? ? I have no sympathy with you at all. You are old enough to know better than to watch the game amongst the deadheads of The South Stand. They're not football fans, they are all members of the Tax Payers Alliance on a field trip.

I should point out that whislt Baldrick was indeed on the right side of the house last week he was designated a very low position.
Tory central spent much time laughing at his attempts to de-louse himself claiming he was covered in flakey pastry.....

Going onto the playing area. It is an offence for a person at a designated football match to go onto the playing area, or any area adjacent to the playing area to which spectators are not generally admitted, without lawful authority or lawful excuse (which shall be for him to prove).
Recent Examples:
TWO Oxford United fans handed three-year football banning orders last night questioned why they were picked out for court action following a mass pitch invasion. They were slapped with a ban, which means they cannot attend games in England and Wales until 2012 and must report to police and hand in their passports when England play abroad.
A SHEFFIELD Wednesday fan who invaded the pitch during the Owls' last day of the season has been spared a football banning order. Jack Travis, aged 23, was handed a £150 fine after he ran from the stand to the side of the pitch during Sheffield Wednesday's relegation decider.
A FOOTBALL fan who ran onto the pitch at Bloomfield Road has appeared in court. Blackpool magistrates were told how Ian Salt, of Cheadle Hulme in Manchester, was a Manchester City supporter and was attending the match between the the Seasiders and his team earlier this month. When his club scored their winning goal against Blackpool he left his seat and ran onto the pitch. He appeared in the dock yesterday for a sentencing hearing. The 39-year-old was fined £160 by resort magistrates.
A FOOTBALL fan who tried to invade the pitch during a St Johnstone match was banned from McDiarmid Park for life. Donald Burd (30) was also fined £400 at Perth Sheriff Court after pleading guilty to committing a breach of the peace at the Crieff Road stadium, to the alarm of others, on October 17.

Quick Question on MrMagoo's post
why is it that a club fan has to hand in their passport for when England are playing abroad? - surely you can't link the club and country thing?
Just for the record, I couldn't give a damm about the English national football team, other than our Salopian Joe Hart
