Forgot about Between the Lines. A must see and hadn't realised that there were 35 episodes. One of the starring roles was played by the late Tony Doyle who went on to Ballykissangel of which the first couple of series were very watchable.
Also forgot about Tutti Frutti with Robbie Coltrane, Emma Thompson and Richard Wilson-all relatively unknown at the time.

Seinfeld Monk Frasier King of the Hill Alan Partridge The Apprentice Arrested Development King of the Hill Jonathan Creek University Challenge
Agreed with some of what said so far though, definitely changes over time. I used to love Friends, and similar comedies, but now can't bare watching them at all. And series change over time. The first few series of UK+US apprentice were great, but as they've got more popular i've liked them less and less.
