Hopefully both will be given a start on Saturday and replace Ainsworth and Mc.Allister who have been very poor lately. Not sure about Raven and Harrolds injuries to whether they start, hope both are o.k.

I can understand dropping Ainsworth but no Mcallister, maybe bring in McIntyre for away games but not at home when Disley and Mcallister do what's asked of them

Van Den Broeck was a class act yesterday for the reserves and came on and put a thorn in Chesterfield's side on Saturday, the guy is quality when on form and maybe now hes going to find some consistancey, I also hope for the same with Kris Bright on yesterday's performance. They complimented each other well yesterday.

Because he doesn't go to as many games as you he's not allowed to voice an opinion on the squad? I'm not able to watch Town as i'm at uni so I guess for the next three years I won't be able to form an opinion, so i'll just be quiet then? There are other ways of knowing what happens in the game, radio, journalist reports, peoples comments on here ... Ainsworth is very lightweight, and although a cracking start to the season, seems to have become the player i though Wright was going to be. So bring in Van =]

Yes, I agree, VDB and McIntyre come in, A lot will depend on whether Harrold is fit though, I suspect if he is then it could be Harrold and 'Tone' up front with Robinson on the wing cutting in I'd drop Wright and McAllister personally

Didn't Benji play as a forward last night?
Like he has for every appearance he's made in the first team so far this season?
I find it hard to believe he'll be playing in any position than centre forward (or just behind another striker).

Yes Ant and despite his promising performance and full recovery from injury, I cant see him starting ahead of Tope and Robinson, this Saturday anyway. GT has stated that he thinks he is a forward/in the hole player, not a wide or central midfielder and I have got to agree with him. As at Chesterfield, a very good option from the bench for now and as the season goes on, who knows?!

I agree, throw them both in, they made a big impact on Saturday and it seems Benji has continued the form in the reserves too. How about - for Saturday only - going 3-5-2. With Barnet likely to play 4-5-1 why not counter that as well as keeping an attacking edge. 3 defenders could deal with one striker and Sheriff who could be slotted into defensive mid duties could cover any threats along with the defence. We really need to take Saturday by the scruff of the neck, play at our tempo and force that ball in! So.. Neal Raven/Holden Sharps Sadler Leslie Mcintyre Sheriff Benji Wright Tope Robinson (or either with Harrold..)

Playing 1 centre half and two full backs is an interesting/slightly mental propersition. VDB has to start, anyone who was at Chesterfield would have to agree. I would like to see him replace disley but agree with Ant that this is unlikely to happen.

Still don't think we need to start changing the team too much, especially at home. God forbid we go back to the Simpson era when the team seemed to change every week. I think that if Harrold had been fit v. Chesterfield we would have had a completely different game. We needed someone who was capable of holding the ball, with others running off him. Unfortunately we had two players who were out and out strikers, but the one being asked to play in Harrolds role, and it did not work. For me it will be the same side, with Raven in for Holden, if fit, but Obedayi playing off Harrold. VDB, MacKintyre, Robinson, Leslie can all be used later on, as impact subs. I am sure Robinson could do with a rest, and the others will all have a big part to play during the next 30+ games. A good game from Ainsworth would not go amiss, he was brilliant to start with, but seems to play in short spells at present. A win and the smiles will re appear on faces again, keep the faith. Rochdale and maybe Notts were the stand out sides last year, Brentford the year before. So far this season i think we have played most of the contenders and no side "stands out" as being a cut above. We can be that team!

I presume dropping Disley is also a joke? Been on of our best performers this season so why would you drop him?

Ainsworth is just not performing so if he has any sense Turner will drop him. The major problem is up front with Obadeyi, Van Den Broek, Harrold and Robinson all doing well however if there is even a slight doubt about Harrolds fitness Van Den Broek should play.
Perhaps this is slightly more realistic then.

So you wouldn't play the MOM from last week, Tope? I can't see him being dropped.

If Tope doesnt start someone needs shooting! best player by a mile at chesterfield. Going to be tough for turner to pick between the front 4 especially if Harrold is fit but i think i would have to go for Tope and harrold up front with robinson taking ainsworths place on the wing and VDB on the bench.

Well if you were to play 3 centre halves, then surely Sharps, Holden and SCS as opposed to two converted full backs?
bit strange anyway though

Tope can play out wide according to Shrewsweb. www.shrewsburytown.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10443~2192689,00.html With his pace and power watching him on the wing would be fun. If Harold is fit I'd still start with him and Robbo with Tope replacing Ainsworth.

Depending on how good he is out wide, Tope coming in for Ainsworth or Wright could be a good idea. If putting him on the wing isn't viable, then I'd stick with him and Robinson up front. VDB and Harrold (if fit) probably deserve a start, but Tope played well last week and not starting Robinson with his record at GM so far this season would be strange. Also gives fresh legs from the bench, and for Crewe on Tuesday night.

I wouldn't even think about dropping Robinson at home but away yes. We have man of the match last Saturday in Obedayi, VDB which everybody is so desperate to start, one of our best players this season in Disley and we also have McIntyre. Fitting all these players into the same team would be hard work but I'll go for...
-----------Neal
Raven Sharps Sherriff Sadler
------Disley McIntyre Wright ---VDBroek
-------Obedayi Robinson
Subs: Ben Smith Dean Holden Danny O'Donnell Sean McAllister Steve Leslie Lionel Ainsworth Matt Harrold
