Hope them two tossers who ran on the pitch are banned for life, how annoying after the fourth goal?!

How could the red mist descend to such an extent when you have just seen your side go 4 up against promotion rivals.
Just wonder how ugly things would have got if we conjoured up a fourth goal in injury time?

Total idiots who ran onto the pitch who noticably slowed down as they got closer to Town end and were almost willing the stewards to catch them!
Was willing someone to slap his ugly face all the same he was certainly asking for it!
Stewarding was pathetic as was the policing, verbals only during the game and a few fisty cuffs after but not in the Cardiff league just yet Ned.

I trust that Drew Talbot, the Chesterfield player, will get cited for his part in the trouble. The way he reacted after Chesterfield went FOUR up was poor and definitely incited the fans in that corner. What followed has already been described but I feel it would not have been as bad if Talbot had just gone and celebrated with his team mates instead of getting involved with the fans.

How holy are we. I saw retards from Salop reacting - goading - abusing others. Absolute disgrace from our fans as well. Its a shame people cant go to football and feel safe because of idiots. Still, were poor old innocent Salop...it's everyone else that is nasty.....

Yes, we've got our fair share of idiots who noticeably slowed down as they got nearer to the Chesterfield supporters.

Bunch of thugs sat down in the corner stood up goading the home fans. Certain members of this board then flew down the stairs and thought it big of themselves to continue to goad the home fans and fan(s) on the pitch. It was funny however, to see the one guy in run over to our fans and stand there. Then Salop fans standing behind that HUGE advertising boarding just shouting abuse. There was me thinking you wanted to have a scrap with them.

I went down to the stewards and police and asked why they thought it a wise decision to evict a Chesterfield 'supporter'(and I use that term loosely)by walking him behind the goalmouth and across the width of the pitch in front of the opposition supporters, surely inciting a reaction etc, the reply/answer was that the gate to eject supporters was in the opposite corner, strange reply I think.
Come back Alan/Laptop, forsake retirement and The Lake District in the name of good policing and common sense.

I'd love to here from those with experience of it, how exactly a bit of violence at the football is enjoyable for those who partake?

Some of the attitudes of the local Police outside the ground after the game was disgraceful.
However, good to meet Laptop's replacement (sorry, forgotten your name if you are reading this) and he helped us get away from the ground safely having encountered a few problems.

I'd say a lot of fans just reacted in the heat of the moment, I've not seen scenes like that at an away ground for a very long time. There player Talbolt started it. The next thing you know there are Chesterfield on th pitch and that sparked a reaction from town. I've never known a team invade a pitch because they have gone 4-0 up to goade away fans, it was totally surreal and bizairre. If it was Vale or Wrexham i'd understand, but Chesterfield??? Bizairre game and bizairre incidents.

I was on the opposite of our fans so not sure what happened in the ground after the 4th goal. We found the stewards friendly, and the smokers were pleased to be allowed out at half time (not allowed at GM)
The idiots we encountered were on coming out at the end - as far a I know, there is no need for any chesterfield fans to be behind the away end at the end, so I was surprised they weren't moved on before a few skirmishes started

Totally agree about Talbot. None of the trouble would have occurred if not for him. I suspect that people with young children who I saw leaving the ground shortly after were leaving because of that, not the fact that Town were 4-0 down.

I don't think the Chesterfield fans had a mini run at you. They did move out of their "bit" but that was as a result of celebrations initially. Then some of your fat, bald fans stood up, walked towards Town and started gesticulating, to which our fat, bald fans reacted.
IMO, Town fans will try to push you but won't initiate anything. I can easily see how it could appear differently, though and as you can see they will react if you can't take it. No punches thrown in the ground, which was the main thing.
In terms of any disabled fans running at you, I didn't see them but I did see two very, young kids run across.
In defence: their 1st game top of the league; a big crowd in what is still a new ground; and 4-0 up against one of the perceived challengers for the league. I put yesterday down to a combination of over-exuberance on Town's part and disappointment on yours. That corner is a potential flashpoint that needs a greater police deterrant, though.
Hopefully they will learn from it, as it has only been criticised on our boards. It also gave your lot something to rail against; I'd have preferred it if they'd just stayed quiet and killed the atmosphere.
Best of luck for the season. (Except for the bloke who was making monkey gestures at someone in the Home stands.)

I put yesterday down to a combination of over-exuberance on Town's part and disappointment on yours. That corner is a potential flashpoint that needs a greater police deterrant, though. The behavior from certain elements from both sides yesterday is indefensible. More so since we are still in October and there's nothing to get excited about yet. If this game had taken place in late April early May and the league placing had been the same then maybe your point would have more credence, but the actions of the few would still be indefensible. The point is those type of people who wish to indulge in that general type of w@nkery will do with out the excuses mentioned in your post. Also, I'm baffled as to why so many 4th division supporters (and some of ours) somehow feel we are challengers for the league; we're not and never will be this season.

What sort of reaction? Did you run, like quite few of our "supporters" from from the top of our stand to the bottom just to start gesticulating, posturing and swearing - what's the point? What exactly were these guys going to do when they got there? The sad thing for me is that much of the intial goading came from blokes in their 30s and 40s ( for god sake grow up).

Lol no certainly didnt even move from my seat, sorry i stood up to get the attention of the steward who seemed oblivious to all that going on behind him. I think i also sang a bit louder for the next ten minutes!. With regards to the few who charged down to the front it was all a bit pointless i agree particularly as if it was a bit of action they were after, dont think i could of resisted that 2nd pitch invaders ugly mush leaning over in all honesty if id been sat at the front with my lad. Wasnt the best solo walk to my ive ever had to my car either after a game and good decision by the parents who left early with kids in hindsight even if they did miss all the town goals i would have done exactly the same.
All a bit of a shame because apart from the result i had enjoyed my wedding anniversary day up to that point and did awfully well to make my 8pm dinner reservation later!!

Pretty pathetic by both sets of supporters in my view. Chesterfield morons , many of them well past 40, incite our fans after the 4th goal. Why? i don't know. Our morons feel it only right that they, many of them also past 40, should show their annoyance by shouting and posturing towards them. End result, moron v moron threatening each other across a corner of the ground seperated by boards and stewards. As there is no chance of either parties getting close enough to punch each other, they continue to do the usual bouncing up and down, look at me i,m hard routine. Pointless. Disgraceful behaviour. Being 4-0 down and really truly p**sed off with the whole thing, me and mates took the easy option and went home early. I,ve lived through the 70/80's hooligan s**te, lets keep it as it is, a memory of the past.

Such is life i'm afraid theres a lot of people out there who need to let out there frustrations hence why some much hooligan activity has returned recently with our country seemingly to be going backwards. Just winning 4-0 isn't enough for some people to get a natural high. CCTV prevents anything serious happening in and around the ground. If it had been 1985 instead of 2010 i dare say it would have all been mayhem. In my opinion its only going to get worse over the next few years, until things pick back up if they ever do that is. 2012 is the year, this could be the begining of the end.
