Just read the diatribe from a rather upset fan. Two thoughts hit me; 1) flip ME, ITS ONLY FOOTBALL. 2) I BET HIS MUM LOVES HIM.
Over the top or what.

Oh surprise surprise
A positive thread about Liverpool pops up and its immediately invaded by the hate crew. Typical B&A.
Anyway now that some real owners with a proven track record are in place and that all the debt has gone the club can have a reasonable transfer budget, be run properly and can progress forward. It'll be nice focusing on the football and not worrying about a financial collapse.

Lets be honest that the vast majority of the Premiership arguments on here are between Utd & Liverpool fans and should there be a thread on here discussing the sale of Utd then there would be plenty of people using it to take shots at Utd. Anyway Tux, as for the real owners and proven track records, well lets just wait and see shall we. Personally I cast any doubts over any takeover's that havent got fans of the club involved and wonder what their motives are. That isnt a dig at the takeover of Liverpool in particular but any club anywhere and would include ourselves.

Hicks's interview on Sky sports news: Called NESV "New england sports vultures" Called the thousands of fans emailing RBS to stop the refinancing "Email Terrorists" Oh and best of all: "would have gotten all debt cleared and new stadium would be have been built" Bear in mind that by the time he'd have finished here LFC would have : -Gone down 2/3 divisions. -Lost all players -Crowds at 10k -Local derby v AFC Liverpool He could have built that new ground then - no problem - bit like Walsall bescot stadium. I finally see his master plan Oh surprise surprise A positive thread about Liverpool pops up and its immediately invaded by the hate crew. Typical B&A. Plus by reading all the interviews he seems perfectly honest and legit. He's not coming out making big ridicules statements like Hicks and Gillete did either. Not to mention the board turned down bigger offers from Lim because they felt NESV were the best for the job unlike Moores and Parry who picked H+G simply because they bid the most money.

To all you Liverpool fans who think you're in the clear and the garden is very rosy, don't forget you could still be sued for £1.6 billion. Please let this happen.

Well until this is cleared up i can't see the new guy letting Hodgson spend any money or make any plans for a new stadium as they might have to use their money for this instead. From Liverpool's point of view this needs clearing up asap but you get the feeling this will run and run and could be damaging for this season.

I thought liverpool were going to be winning the title this season though tux, so what was the problem? You must have been speaking to some very disillusional fans! No way the league would come this year, top 4 would be the aim at present Liverpool are going to be aiming for Europa league. Bad start to the season with hard fixtures. Let's just hope that it is not out of the frying pan into the fire with the red sox owners. Certainly makes tomorrow an interesting one, i'm sure the Everton fans wont let this one go without incident, no sock throwing this year though
