What did people think of it? Apart from their main stand which looks smart, the rest of it is very dissapointing and looks like it has been built on the cheap, the narrow gangway behind the away terrace was a complete joke considering its a newly built stadium, one friend commented to me that it looks like a cheaper version of the New Bucks Head and I would go along with that.
But next time people moan about our 'small' concourses, they should look at what Morecambe have built, or havent in this case!

I didn't go on saturday, and to an extent I agree.
However, I disagree on the reference to GM. I expect Morecambe's hopes are to stay in League Two, maybe get to League One and play there for a couple of seasons.
Ours, however, should be to be a mid table side in the Championship. We are a much bigger club than Morecambe.

What a rubbish post Sean macallisters right foot. It makes no sense. How can you say there hopes are to stay in the league but then on the other hand there hopes are to get promoted and stay in league 1. Pick one or the other. And how can you agree if you wasn't there?

I thought the concourse's at Burton were too small and if it's the same case at the globe arena then yes they are too small.

I don't understand why they're so small, or why it's allowed. Two people side by side at most. My Bro went for a pie, only to be told they weren't ready! I offered to pop him back up today.

The concourses at Morecambe, maybe two people could squeeze past each other in single file, but then you add in the toilets and the buffet queues and quite frankly, it's a joke

Colin and the Vicar are playing golf, when Colin misses a 3 foot putt. "Oh, **** it,", said Colin, "missed the bugger". "You keep talking like that", said the Vicar, "And God will strike you down". At the next hole, Colin misses a two foot putt. "Oh, **** it", said Colin, "missed the Bugger". "I warn you", said the Vicar, "this is your last chance". At the next hole, Colin misses a one foot putt. "Oh, **** it", said Colin, "missed the bugger". Suddenly the clouds parted, and a bolt of lighening shot down and killed the Vicar. "Oh, **** it", said a voice, "missed the bugger".

I thought it looked exactly the same as their old one but a tad smarter and tidier. Didn't see the point in them moving at all to be honest.
Concourses were ridiculous and they sold out of hot food before half time. Joke.

Its a complete sham of a stadium, they have played 6 home games to date this season and still no price list or menu for the food bar. I went to the counter yesterday and ask how much hotdogs were and he walked over and looked on the till then cam back and said £3-15 so i said i'll have a hotdog then he replied they weren't ready, so i asked for a meat and potato pie and he replied again they weren't ready. So i asked for a cup of tea and he went and made the cup of tea and then went to the till to find out the price and he came back and said £1-40 then i gave him £2 and asked for a kit kat as well and he went to the till then cam back and said thats £2-05 so i gave him another £1 and he went back to he till again, absolutely nuts.
1. No menu with prices so you can't work out how much anything costs and get your money ready. 2. the tills are over the other side of the room so they have to walk backwards and forwards to them. 3. the food wasn't even ready yet i had been in the ground 25-30 minutes. 4. the ails were narrower than burton. 5. they had plywood running the entire length of the back of the stand which is nuts, i could clearly see this was basic shuttering ply that had been painted possibly in some sort of fireproof paint if not its a fire hazard.
The Deva stadium is probably better.

Sold out of pies before kick off and to make it worse the catering van providing food for seated away fans had plenty including chips yet we wernt allowed access because of segregation! from our on fans The terracing for us was great and allowed for a good atmosphere but the overall experience was spoiled by the organisation and the distance from a decent pub making the stroll form the brooklands look easy

We decided to get out of Morecambe ASAP after the game and found some far better pubs in Lancaster.....

What's the point of the narrow terrace opposite the main stand?

What's the point of the narrow terrace opposite the main stand? Surely that could have been covered??

In one respect the Globe Arena scores much higher than the Meadow. The leg room in the stand is hugely superior to ours.

I have to say I was glad we went to the York - good beer, good pub food, sky sports and a bus that made 3 trips to the ground, and still got everyone back on afterwards in one trip As far as the ground goes, the terracing was good but the problems were obvious - I dont understand why there is so little room at the back - as it is outside anyway surely they could have built the wall a few feet further back. Nice landscaping job outside as well, really gives a good impression if you want to get business The open terrace is taking recreating the old ground atmosphere a bit far. Nothing much has changed from previous visits, including our performance unfortunately Their fans main concerns seem to be the peas and gravy on their pies Link------> shrimpvoices

Much better to pretend to be a Morecambe supporter and purchase a ticket in Block C of the Main Stand.
Full bar facilities before during and after the game. Opened at 1.30 and was still going strong when I left at 6.00. 2 bars and neither crowded so easy to get a drink even at half time. Food also available.
Even Roland, Keith and James were allocated a table for lunch in this area.
And absolutely no problem mixing with the Morecambe supporters. Friendliest in the league in my estimation.
