Club was Margate, ground was Dover.
Which current Conference club did Town play Midland League games with prior to joining the League?

Could be Telford, i.e. Wellington Town.
Or maybe Tamworth?

As Roy Walker would say, "Its a good guess, but its not right." ;D One clue, even though it was in the 'Midland League', they are not a Midlands club.

Halifax?
|
|
|
Post by Dale on Apr 9, 2004 21:43:09 GMT 1
Halifax reserves played in the Midland League when Town were in that competition, but they dont count as it wasnt their first team, only one current Conference club had their first team in the Midland League at the same time as us.
Other teams that played in the Midland League were Boston, Scunny, Posh, Forest reserves, Grimsby reserves etc
