Didnt go to Wycombe today, but sounded like we were very unlucky to draw.
Big turn out at Vale now, theres no reason why we cant win there!

Assume you've NOT seen us rip most appart this season? Your thug fans do you mean? 5,777 today. Don't worry folks, they're just a small club, hanging on to the mighty Stoke City coat tails.

Drop Neal and Leslie and we might have a chance. However we know we're going to be bullied and battered on Tuesday and if we don't deal with this we'll get beat by Vale.

We 1100 to your place last season despite having a shocking away start to the season (lost 3 drawn 3). If you think you'll show us with 1,000....... no chance sorry!

Yet we have the biggest following out of all 4 games between us. Our following of 1408 has been the biggest, compared to your two followings of 989 and 1105. Now, I do not claim we are a big club, but your support at our place has not beaten our following to you. So, you aren't really in a position to take the p**s. I know I said anything less than 1,000 on Tuesday would be embarassing, and I stand by that, but I am sure the people who do go will give 100% to the team and make the noise of 2000!

SURLEY you guys going to bring like 1,200? 1,500? Needless to say, midweek or not, we'd have 2,000+ at your place! We've averaged 1,200 away so far and for THAT reason alone maybe 23 clubs are going to miss us come May time? AT LAST, a game where we may JUST get tested me thinks, before Saturday I'd have taken 4 points from 6 but would have prefered the win v you guys to be honest. Not sure where we get this reputation from regarding trouble, the 150 Accy fans were tret very well I'd say! You're going to do VERY well to keep the Richards brothers quiet, best front 2 by a country mile. PLEASE keep that keeper in who let the ball go thru him on Saturday?! 3-1 to the Vale AND you all get home safe!....

what sort of gate do you expect pvfc61? Whatever you might say about the Shrews following, the midweek fixtures - which are notoriously smaller - is likely to take about 1500-2000 off in any event? Nothing will be won or lost tomorrow. I think a point would suit both clubs.

PLEANTY to be won tomorrow, a win and we COULD be 7 points ahead of the 4th placed club northern league! I agree, a point WOULD be fine but when you've won 4 on the spin without even going close to conceeding you get a bit greedy! lol.

Lets not make too much out of this game, its September... Plenty of football to be played after Tuesday night. Win, lose or draw I am still very confident that we'll be pushing for promotion and will be there or there abouts... Having a quick looksee on the Vale board and some of 'em are going arse over tit for reaching the top of the division, s**tting their pants with excitement...nowt is won in September. Lets just keep cavy and see how things are come next May...

Northernleague, I would say 6,200 Vale fans PLUS whatever you guys bring, We only had 5,800 Saturday [inc 200 visitors] but I expected this. Many people can't afford 2 home games and will be saving themselves for the big one! YES it's onl September but winning 4 from 4 away, conceeding ONE goal away and THAT a own goal, winning FOUR on the bounce WITHOUT conceeding? THAT is the BEST form in ANY division I believe..........

I do love when games like this come around as its amazing how the same stuff happens.
We normally get told that its our cup final but they dont care about us as they have bigger rivals. We get slated for our away attendance despite the fact that the home turnout is likely to be similar to what we are normally get. We get told that if it was roles reversed they would sell out the away end and have loads in the home end despite previous away followings being nowhere near it.
For the Vale fans, I will reitterate what Stutty has been trying to say...................Its September. This is not a title decider. If you win you will be 5 points ahead of us but there will be 37 games to go so I dont think the win for you will guarantee the Championship just yet. Yes its a top of the table clash but we have already had one of those with Rotherham and could have another one with Torquay on Saturday so you will have to excuse me if I dont get too excited, no matter how many times you mention "TOP OF THE TABLE"

Fair points, but WILL some of you guys be saying THAT IF you win tomorrow nite?! lol. I actually think that us 2 ARE a cut above the rest, Rotherham and C'field a close third and fourth, the rest? MILES behind! YES only 8 games in but by the time say 10 games have been played I can't see the table changing more than a place or two by next may time......

Let me try and understand the current logic from our friends in Burslem ! Their gate on Saturday was lower because people can't afford both games ! But if our support is lower than 1500 on Tuesday then it will be poor ! Possibly some of our fans had a simliar choice of two away games either Wycombe or Port Vale many especially families might have chosen Wycombe for some reason.

I was at Wycombe on saturday and it was a decent following, my estamation is between 500 and 600. A few possibly went there instead of Port Vale for obvious reasons.

Earlyshrew, your comment makes NO sense. As we have TWO HOME games fans this week have TWO games to pay for, that's around 5,500+ yimes TWO. As Shrewsbury have TWO AWAY games [The few hundred you on Saturday aside], means that 5,000+ Shrewsbury fans [Those that stayed away saturday], only have ONE game to fork out for ie TOMMOROW!
