Stuart Dunn said on the radio at about 2.10pm that he thought that something between 750-1000 Town fans would go. Could certainly hear them towards the end of the match.

not just the number todat that made it so good but the result, and atmosphere...
Classic lets all do the simpson moment... and the guy that got the ball in the crowd, not once, not twice but three times and each time did some great time wasteing and winding up of there keeper... harmless fun and pretty funny...
Not a lot negative you can take away from a game and performance like that....

The 'let's all do the Simpson' bit was hilarious - especially as literally ten seconds later Simmo did it himself.
Another excellent following.

Great turnout today, lets all do the Simpson was hilarious and for those who came in late please don't complain about not getting a seat, how about spending less time in the pub and more supporting your team!

Fantastic support today. We were by far the fullest stand in ground. Reckon 1,000 is about right or maybe a bit more. The stand itself holds 1,365 and looked as if it was mostly filled. Link------> Railway End Feel there can only be more great away days to come.

It sounded fantastic! I was hoping to be there, but couldn't make it. I will make sure I watch the Football league show tonight to watch those goals! Brilliant stuff!! I am really looking forward to being at the next home match next week! Congratulations to our lads, to all who were there to support, and of course G.T!

Anyone else hear of any trouble after the game Someone alluded to there being a bit on one of the Stockport messageboards.

Some Stockport yoofs were shouting their mouths off about sheepsh@**ers as we walked down the road outside but that 's all I witnessed.

As we came out of the car park turned left and then right towards the motorway, saw loads of police running up the hill towards the pub on the corner. Saw the usual mob of idiot town fans on one side of the road and a load of youth looking lads on the other... assume this is what was alluded to...

Anyone else hear of any trouble after the game Just some minor mutterings. Tried to get a post match pint in the Armorey not far from the station. The Police fella on the door was only letting Town fans in, stopping locals. Then they barred anyone coming in, pub doors closed. Was advised by a local not to hang around as some Stockport fans were not best happy...presumably with their team not us Town fans. Heard later a few tables and chairs were chucked about inside the pub. Anyone else heard this? Bad times if so... No need!

Thought our support today was very good. Although a few fans sitting right at the front seemed to just want to insult the stockport keeper all game about him being welsh, even running up to the boards to shout when he was collecting the ball for goal kicks - just embarassing
and personally i don't care how long people have been following town for if they're causing trouble, i don't want them there

Your right, in 10 years time I feel like in can hang about with people half my age and parade them around northern towns looking for trouble!! Heres hopeing! I go to the football for one thing... to watch football... not looking for trouble Mabey im in the minority that I dont find that acceptable...

Just seen the goals on The Football League Show. The away end looked impressively full. Seems like lots of people have bought the 125 top.

Time-wasting by keeping the ball was great fun? We'd be outraged if the opposition fans were doing it to us. What possible fun was that? It was just moronic.

Anyone else hear of any trouble after the game Heard later a few tables and chairs were chucked about inside the pub. Anyone else heard this? Bad times if so... No need! If there was then it was the locals doing it as all of us from Shrewsbury in the pub were told in no uncertain terms by the police to get out of the pub and get to the train station not long after we had got in there.

I'd estimate 1,100+ was there today, couldn't see any spare seats at all to be honest and i walked the fall length of the end the only seats that wasn't used were covered up. If that end holds 1,365 then i'd say there was over 1,100 town fans.
