Is it just me who wants Spurs to go through then? Would love to see them playing in the Champions league, would be a breath of fresh air and someone different. Would be very interesting to see how they get on.
Come on Harry stick Crouchy and Lennon on, Pavlyuchenko and Giovanni are having a shocker. 3 well taken goals by 'Young boys' but first one was offside.

Pivotal moment in the tie that Pavlyuchenko goal to make it 3-2. Spurs should do it now at White hart lane, they only need 1-0 or 2-1. I think Tottenham will Severely struggle in the group stages if they make it though.

You sad,sad people. When will you realise, the futures here, the futures the boys from the lane. A nice win at home, and Arry's done it again. Come on you Spurs.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, how much is my stoke ticket gonna cost?

I can't wait to see how they cope with real Champions league competition. They should make it through but even if they do no way will they make it past the group stage. Tinpot club thinking way over its head. There completely out of there depth.

No aspirations or targets. I don't get this hatred for Tottenham, am I missing something? I'm glad that a team that's full of British players has broke up the mould in the top 4. I'd rather see a team with so many English players go out in the groups than watch a team with one or two English players get to the quarters ...

A club that manages finances well and isn't massively in debt, a club that isn't reliant on foreign millionaire playboys, first british club to win a european competition. And Spurs is a club that has 9 england internationals on it's books and several more under 21's and under 19s, and surely champions league football can only help their progression?

[/img]
Any Spurs fan will tell you the only way to win is with difficulty The way they ripped us apart for the first half hour was pretty scary. Great comeback in the circumstances. Totally different game at WHL and I expect at least a 3 nil win.

Oh don't get your knickers in a twist. Christ. Oh and they have had far more net spend then both Liverpool and Arsenal in recent years so don't act like there some poor club defying the odds. There not. I don't give a toss about england and internationals. Them having english players won't change my view on them. Anyway last season was a fluke, this time next year they will be back to rotting away in the europa. I can't wait to see how they cope with real Champions league competition. They should make it through but even if they do no way will they make it past the group stage. Tinpot club thinking way over its head. There completely out of there depth. So we should like them because they have british players? Right.. Sorry but never liked the club and never will. I'm not going to like a team because people tell me to.

Christ nothing like a bitter fan.
Did I say anything about them being a poor club? No. And 'managed by a criminal', I think that's probably libel.
And you don't give a toss about England internationals? Fairly sure your club captain does
And rotting away in the europa - like liverpool you mean?

To be fair Spurs were always going to get back into the game as Young boys don't tend to keep clean sheets.

Bitter? Alternatively maybe I've just never liked spurs. Would much rather have preferred villa gotten the place to be honest over them. 1 year is hardly rotting, Liverpool has fallen out of the top 4 on multiple occasions within recent years and has bounced back the following year, this won't be any different. Title is coming to anfield this season while spurs will be somewhere around 6th. Gerrard cares about england? I'd imagine so considering he is the captain. I don't see how that is relevant to me caring about england. Anyway isn't this thread supposed to be about spurs? Why are you bringing liverpool in to this? Back on topic no doubt they will still go through although I don't them progressing past the group stages providing they don't have a ridiculously easy group. Typically ridiculous set of posts by our board's Liverpool fan. Oh Ed aka our board's cardiff fan you really are not in any position to be calling anyones posts ridicules. I know I tend to post some stupid s**t and perhaps enjoy winding people up from time to time but you are on a whole new level. I've seen some major hypocritical posts here but that one just tops the charts. Not to mention that is a very offtopic post there, this thread is about spurs and young boys not how ridicules my posts are. Tut tut.

[/img]
Havent you heard, they have Joe Cole, the missing piece in the jigsaw if you listen to a lot of Liverpool fans To be fair, I can see why some clubs of the 'big four' get annoyed with the love in a lot of non Premiership fans and the media have for Spurs. They have spent a lot of money (just like Villa) but people seem to think that it would be a benefit for the English game if they broke the monoply of the big 4 (well 5 if you include Liverpool), however they will have spent a hell of a lot of money in doing so. Although of course that is the nature of the game now. I do laugh though at Liverpool fans looking down at Spurs though. I think they need to remember its been a hell of a long time since they won the league and they are nowhere near a mighty force now.

Vast majority of media i've seen have written off spurs for getting a champions league place this season and a lot of them have predicted them down in 6th or 7th. In fact to demonstrate it I think Spurs were 33/1 for the title and liverpool 12/1 with some bookies. If Spurs are actually getting positive press then I'd suggest it's down to: 1. large amounts of young players 2. large amounts of english / british players 3. fact they haven't sold out to a foreign owner 4. play good football 5. like arsenal appear to be well run financially Personally I'd think it would be good for the game if the monotony of the big 4 is probably broken up as long as it's not man city to do it. If it wasn't spurs last season, I was hoping villa did it.
