I posted a thread few weeks back when GT over and got carried away with the hype at the time as is easy to do(what do you expect coming season). Now after seeing the best back 4 in action in this division and decent wing play with an end result i would wager town top 3 finish and one of the least goals against totals we have seen for many a year.Sorry for the hype but im very happy with the signings and the boards backing of GT.FLOREAT SALOPIA. What would you be happy with.??

The current squad 8-9th, the squad with ainsworth and co, 6th-7th. Don't think we're quite good enough for auto and I think the first month will be a slow and costly one points wise, with the team adapting to the passing game.

Playoffs if we make some big, but also passionate signings. No point having the ability but not having your heart in it. If we get LA, a striker, sign up the keeper and defender on trial, i would be very optomistic.

7th +/- a place.
Think we are better than last year and should reflect this in the points totals.

Barry... Fancy PM'ing me the name of this striker?
Really optimistic, but I'll be conservative and say somewhere in the play-offs

Would be disappointed with the play-offs, but at least they won't be at Wembley this year. With a 20 goal a sseason striker - top 2.

The English playoff finals cannot possibly be held in Wales.

The English playoff finals cannot possibly be held in Wales. Why not? The English FA Cup final was.

I would not mind Old Trafford, it is one of the 20 Premier/Football League grounds that I have not been to. The only way I will ever go there, is if Town are playing there,

I predict we're going to finish 3rd - just sneaking into the automatics at the right time in the last few matches.
The squad seems to be looking healthy, and with the additions of hopefully Ainsworth and this mystery striker we'll have the makings of a side able to challenge at the top.

Old Trafford and Millennium Stadium have both put in bids to stage the play off finals, although the latter has the experience of staging these games I think Old Trafford would be a fantastic venue to see Salop finally break their play off duck (in League 2 terms) at the third attempt.
Ideally I would like to go for third place, the same place GT's Hereford side won promotion from in 2008, but I realistically think we could finish anywhere between 6th and 10th, I'm quite confident we will better last season's 12th place finish though.

As we are now, I think about 5th or 6th.
If we sign a high profile goal scorer or someone who will get us 20 plus a season, pushing for the top 3 maybe.

As I said a few months back, I will be happy with anything above 12th place. 11th place is an achievement on last season so I would be happy. To guess where we're going to come is very difficult as for one I haven't seen this new style of football being executed by Town. I am hoping we have a top 7 finish this season but i'll have to see how our first couple of games go first. =]

No expectations, whatever is, is.
The idea that everything's in place and just waiting to take off has dissipated now, our realistic expectations are no higher than GP'S first full season in charge.
I hope for a push at the play-offs / top three, realistically expect midtable, will only get really p**sed off if we engage in any serious flirtation with relegation.
