What's with the anti-Heskey brigade? Him and Ashley Cole were the two best players. He's doing his job well I just think it makes the rest of the team rely on hoof ball. I vote going for Crouch and Defoe. Sod it, take a gamble. I'd respect Capello for it. Get Lampard out, bring Gerrard into the middle and give J Cole a crack on the wing.

What is with the Heskey love brigade? I'm sorry but anyone who thinks Heskey was good last night needs there head checked or watched a completely different game to me. He was ****ing terrible. Actually I'd say he was worse then Rooney.

No.
Unfair to single anyone out, rooney didn't have the best game admittedly but he still put in the effort, he seemed to end up playing like the Rooney before last season dropping back far too deep as Heskey was made focal point of the attack, where as for his club he was the main striker. And got in around the 6yard box. He scored no goals from outside the area this season where as in the tournament he has been reduced to only shots from outside the area. He was closed down by 3 players last night everytime he had the ball there was no one coming to help him and draw away any of the pressure. Algeria were organised looked composed and controlled the game if I'm being honest a draw flattered us. The fact is we haven't got the world class players or the spirit to make up for it and have been equalled by 2teams who wanted it more, chased every ball and were first to every second ball.

He did everything Rooney didn't last night.

Lets see now: -Lost possession constantly and way more then Rooney - Did not hold the ball up well at all. What on earth are you talking about? -Almost every single pass was misplaced. -Struggled to even control the ****ing ball. -No goal threat. Oh wait nothing new there...

In the qualifying stage where there were lots of games, England showed they were good against a team that were attacking them.
In a group where a draw against England is a great result, England showed they have no cutting edge quality to break them down.
Singling out one player is unfair, Rooney wasn't great, but nor was anyone else. They all tried but didn't have the quality on the night. They simply weren't good enough, whether it was tactics or what, who knows.
What he said at the end though was out of order.
