Must say I'm suprised that people see SCS as a first choice centre back, in view of the number of unforced errors he makes I don't have that much confidence in him. No more errors than Kelvin was prone to make. He's much better on the ball than Langmead (or any recent Town centre back that I can think of). For me, that fits in well with my hope that we'll be more of a passing team in future. I remember three times in the last 3 months of last season, where Sherrif's confidence on the ball resulted in giving the oppositio a clean run on goal. Langmead would have been no-nonsense and that sort of error would not have happened Sherrif needs to remember he's the only man between the striker and the goalkeeper and stop being so complacent on the ball I think when people say Langmead was error prone they are massively over-exagerating. Yes he used to be, but he tidied his game up and improved, and made no more mistakes than the rest of our defenders last year, probably less.

Very sad to see Kelvin leave, amazed that Dunfield thinks he's capable of playing at a higher level as to my mind he's yet to master league 2 football to any degree.
I know a lot of people are saying "we can do better" than both Kelvin and Hibbert but I'm struggling to see how we can replace players of their age and experience without significantly upping our wage bill. Its becoming very worrying how we can neither hang onto our better players, or attract (so far) significant new improved talent to the club.

I wasn't comparing SCS with Kelvin, just pointing out that he is error prone.
At our level I prefer the lump it into row Z type of centre back.

What worries me about SCS is his diciplinary record 17 yellow and 1 red in his 75 games for the Town one of the highest in terms of free kicks conceded. The red card against Rochdale was I'm afraid typical of the way he got caught out as a central defender. Technically he is excellent but I would not play him in the centre of defence. Left back yes, midfield yes.

Langers hasn't gone yet, according to Sky Sports text he's on holiday.
The Clubs have agreed a fee that's all so lets see what happens, you never know it may not feel right etc, etc and he'll stay. If he goes I'll expect an appropriate statement from the Club thanking him etc.
As for Dunfield, if he wants European football then I expect he'll turn up at TNS, Port Talbot or Llanelli.

Good luck to Kelvin hope it all turns out well. As for Terry Dunfield, a few, very few, good games but in whole a disappointing signing considering we paid a fee for him. A warning to Terry, a certain Mr Asamoh was told exactly the same to move clubs to further his International career, He moved and has never featured for Ghana since. Good Luck!

Turner is a good manager and was a splendid centre half he will soon weigh up why SCS has a one year contract and how important the signing of another centre back is all I.M.H.O. of course! I do hope SCS proves me wrong AND improves his fitness and timing so as to avoid those mistimed tackles and all that shirt pulling that results in yellow cards and the occasional red.

It seems to have gone unnoticed that during the last couple of months, of the last season, that Kelvin was making at least one major howler every game, and a lot of these resulted in the ball ending up in our net. I have said before, that his attitude and commitment is Premiership class, but his ability is no higher than League 2. I am pretty certain that Peterborough had no one watching the Morecambe game, or he would not be on their radar.

I have lots of time for Kelvin. Great bloke and a real trier. He goes with my best wishes.
Terry is a strange one. I hope he knows what he's doing.

Sounds like Hibbo has done the scouting rather than Posh - very strange! I thnk Posh fans will be disappoiinted in both of them - neither League One standard, or certainly if they aspire to get promotion.

Thought Kelvin had been playing with a hernia problem in the last few months which possibly explains mistakes you speak of ExKeeper.
Really didn't expect these departures so a bit shocked.
By the way who was the B&A player of the season? And the runner up? And the third place man? Seems none of them will be here next season
