Definitely a gamble by Turner because of the 'legend' status he enjoyed here, I just hope he can achieve half of what he did in his first spell here. There's no doubting that the Hereford players loved playing under his leadership and he achieved far more at Edgar Street than what a club of their size really should have done, he has the eye to pick a good player and he wont need to rely as heavily on the loan market as he did at ES. I wouldnt be surprised if one of his first signings was a certain Lionel Ainsworth. Most definitely the most exciting news to happen to STFC in years and welcome home GT

Clueless idiot why? As most people on here have said that GT was coming back for about a month now and you chose not to take any notice.

In the early days, with a couple of decent results, I think the stadium is going to be buzzing because of this.

I questioned if it was a good idea that was all........ dont think that makes you an idiot tbh quite like the idea of history repeating itself. my lad is about the same age as i was when turner was manager first time around. if he gets a quarter of the pleasure and pride i felt for the town in that era, he will be a happy little chap as i was.

Delighted with this news. Get behind him SSS. Think GT is less of a risk than Ince or Sturrock. Luggy may have enough to contend with health-wise while Mr Ince would be off like a shot as soon as bigger club glanced in his direction.
For me the best possible appointment and I for one cannot for pre season!!!

And (I bet the bookies wont take these odds) but I am almost certain that if we have a bad start, bad run of form, you will be as vitriolic about GT as you were abut PS and some of the town players.

Excellent news. After a run of what have been in the main dire appointments we have back the best manager we have probably ever had. Looking forward to the new season with great anticipation.

Welcome back Graham. I'm looking forward to hearing his love and passion for the club in the same way he describes his successful time in the 70/80's in the DVD Meadow Memories. Wins at Chelsea, Newcastle and fantastic cup runs too - even against the team where I live now!! If any younger supporters would like to get an ideal of Turner's effect - just watch the footage and you will soon get hooked in on the the positive effect of Graham Turner. Perfect excuse to watch the DVD this evening!!

Winning at Trevor Brooking's West Ham, a fortnight before they won the F.A. Cup, was a bit special too.

He had a visit round the Powerleague site today and was extremely impressd with the facillties at the club. Described them as Championship standard and talked with Roland aboout taking us as high as that.
You could tell he was happy to be home and has a great sense of affection for the club.
Welcome home Graham!!!
