Joan Fennessy has probably forgotten more about the ins and outs of runing a football club than some of the suits at Greenhous Meadow could ever confess to knowing, I wouldn't be surprised to see her pack up her kit and join her friend and colleague GT at Oteley Road.

Oh but that would increase the wage bill Martin......who would she replace......

Turner and Rowley tier 1 legends. Micky Brown joined by Vic Kasule on tier 2 maybe for different reasons! Lots of whispers on whose next out the door at Greenhous towers and the one ive heard seems like a step forward! i think Alf wood must come very near qualifying as a legend

Peter Broadbent was the best footballer that I have seen in well over 50 years watching the Town. He must be close to a legend, to those of us who saw him play.

Agreed, but he played for us for less than 2 seasons. To qualify as a club legend, surely a longer period of service and some outstanding achievements are required? I'd like to mention Alan Durban as someone who is unjustly ignored in these discussions.

We'll never see their like in blue and amber. We couldn't afford them.

Although well past his best ---------At our level at the time Alan Durban was pure class as a player and as a manager was totally responsible for starting a great perod in Town History.

Surely Colin Griffin with 406 league games must be considered in the legendary class.

I reckon its clear this is the chairmans last throw of the dice to get us promoted. This will be his last appointment. Don't think he'd be at the helm now if we'd have got promoted either of the last couple of seasons. He wants a promotion to end his tenure. I think thats also clear.

Quite right Stutty, when he started his tenure we were a L1 club, albeit in a relegation season, I'm sure RW won't walk away until we are back in L1

A colleague of mine was waxing lyrical about Sammy Chapman yesterday. Something about him scoring a goal by taking the ball around the goalkeeper

would be great for the club and truly unite the fans behind two Town legends. Impossible. Legend is a word used too easily and as far as i'm concerned we have only ever had two real legends at this club. The one has just returned and the other is Arthur Rowley and seeing as the great man has gone then it can't happen. TOWN LEGENDS 1 - Arthur Rowley 2 - Billy Scarratt 3 - Peter Dolby 4 - Graham Turner 5 - Michael Brown

Does a STFC 'Hall of Fame' exist as I'm not sure if one does?
Maybe this would be the right time to look into something like this so us fans can really define who are 'legends' and who are not at this club, I agree with some that the word 'legend' is far too easily used these days......

I wonder if it would be possible to do something similar to the Ring of Honour that The Dallas Cowboys have at The Cowboys Stadium where past players/coaches and/or officials are honoured with their names displayed on a permanent banner type hoarding that circles the stadium...

Would be a good touch i think and add some history and character to the ground, have always liked how at hockey stadiums they have all the hall of famers and the retired numbers aswell as trophy wins on flags from the rafters.
