Alty are playing Oxford, so I'm going to check on James Constable.
Also, my cousin is a Crewe season ticket holder and I stiil remember the stick he gave me last time we played at Gresty Road.

There'll be room for about 1300 of you as I went there with Notts a couple of weeks ago. You get a small stand at the side opposite their main stand which is much bigger than the other 3 stands. The CVrewe fans to the left are virtually all kids and to the right that's where their tossers are.

Anyone know if we will have to book beforehand- or can away supporters get in on the day? There may be tickets, but to be on the safe side, I think you'd better sit on my lap. www.shrewsburytown.com/page/AwayTickets/0,,10443~1065703,00.html

We'll probably take about 800, it would've been double that if we were realistically still in with a chance of the play offs.
I'm going to have to give it a miss having spent far too much money in Torquay which was a cracking away trip - especially the strip club.
If I was living in Shrews I'd still go to Crewe, it's our nearest away match now so it'll always be a good day out, just as long as you go there expecting to lose - years of being a Town fan has taught me that.
When did we last play Crewe at Gresty Road in the league? I have memories of losing 5-1 after going one nil up through Flasher Stevens, i think Danny Murphy got a few goals that day?? Going back to Fred Davies days which, as sad as it sounds, were the glory days for me.

I remember that game People talk about fickle fans nowadays, we went 1-0 up and it was "Freddies Barmy Army", by the end we were 5-1 down and it was "fu*k off Davies"

Robbie Savage was oustanding and clearly destined to play at a higher level. They were blessed with class midfielders around that time. Craig Hignett had recently left but I think Neil Lennon was still there.

Far too much water under the bridge methinks.

Just been confirmed by Crewe ticket office that we can buy away tickets at the turnstiles on Saturday.
We have been allocated the away stand only. No need for us to have the overspill family stand as well.

interesting - looking at those teams it's not surprising we got hammered. I had forgotten Alan Rivers' lad got 2 - As Dave said, Savage was the player who stood out I had thought Megson played in that game in his only appearance for us ?

This and Vale could have been really special away days this time around if we'd still be in with a shout of the play-offs. I reckon we would have sold out for Crewe and would of been close to doing so at Vale. Schade schade...

is it pay on the gate or is it the same as at shrews where you need to get a ticket from the office to get in?

Notts fans had to get a ticket at the office when we went there about 3 weeks ago.

looks like we will have an average number there tomorrow.
nothing against the fans, but is this a sign of how alot of us feel about the club??

I was going to, but not for £19 with no students. Quite reluctant to pay that myself, quite poor a seventeen year old student has to go in for that price. Thing's I go through to see the Town eh?
