Thanks.
But you know what is required of you. Concentrate on the media work that seems to take up so much of your time that should be spent elsewhere.

Quit before you get sacked Paul, save us and yourself the time and embarressment of more excuse filled moronic interviews and let someone else have a stab at the job you are paided to do and are failing so badly at.
The end must be near.

Come on Simpo, time to admit football management isn't your strong point...time to take a punt with a conference club and leave us with some respectability. Must try harder (with scouting, tactics, media handling skills, man management skils...) I hear Beano scored today...and Pughie scored one, assited the other...

Irrespective of whether he's brought the players in or not, the majority of the players (at times) have shown that they are good enough.
The fact of the matter seems to be, having watched his interviews and the Q&A on Shrewsweb, is that the man is not inspirational. Added to the fact that he has 'personality clashes' with players it's no wonder players don't want to come here and that the ones that are aren't performing.
The time has come.

Once Simpson has jumped, been pushed, whatever. I believe I should get the vacant managers job!
I once got Rushden & Diamonds from the Conference to the Champions League on "Championship Manager"...surely this amazing feet makes me an adequate replacement for Mr Simpson. Perhaps I am overly qualified! I doubt Mr Simpson could perform such miracles...
The only perfoming he'll be doing will be on Late Kick Off...but then again don't you need a "job" to be on that show???

A decent appointment of an assistant i feel would be better than getting rid of him.
Also have to take into account the cost of sacking him and paying up his contract, which was extended not too long ago.

I'm hoping he might see sence and resign and play the "things didn't work out card" if he's sacked its another sacking on his CV and pretty much an end to him being able to get a top job in management. An amicable parting of the ways would do him and us good.

I was in the 're-assess at the end of the season, not much to be gained by acting now' camp, but after hearing that interview my opinion of Simmo has plummeted.
It was a masterclass in buck passing, with the finger of blame pointed everywhere but himself.
Describing the fans as " diabolical" and that embarrassing, amateur sociologist waffle about "that's the society we live in now and the football game we're in now" was beyond the pail.

Was it Gary Peters who said "players, managers and directors come and go,the fans are permanent"...by criticising the fans Simpo has hit an all time low.He has obviously lost the dressing room,3 differant formations in the last 3 games and constantly chopping and changing the team,he's now lost the fan base....he has to go,irresprective of the cost of paying off his contract.
For goodness sake we've just lost at home to a team who are going to be out of the league in the next couple of weeks, and we made it easy for them,no width,no ideas, tactically inept...I'm talking about you Simpo !...Go now for everyones sake

The trouble is other sides looking to appoint a new manager wont see the full picture with Simmo. They'll think he's got them from a struggling league 2 side to a secure league 2 side with a play-off final along the way. They wont realise that we only got to the play-off final because other clubs had points deducted and in the last few games of his tenure the fans were witnessing their worst displays of football in years.

We had a brilliant day in the sponsors lounge. (Thanks Andy Tretton and Mike Thomas). Also nice to meet Miss Ticks Dad, Martin. I've said Paul should be given to the end of the season. For me, that's just arrived, we looked clueless. Sorry, Paul, after hearing what you've said about the fans, I think your time's up. I'll be honest, I was quite prepared to not nominate anyone for man of the match. But people on the other tables did, and my Niece asked someone from the club, (I won't name them ) who they thought should win and filled in several slips of people who refused to vote. For the record, Kelvin Langmead won. He was obviously very upset and emotional, but also very professional. Thanks, Kel.

Ive always been a staunch supporter of Simmo and have always defended him, even when my mates were telling me i was mad. After todays debarcle, and the recent performances i have now seen the light. Were going absolutely nowhere under his management apart from mid table obscurity. Time to go Paul and thanks very much for your efforts. Plea to Roland, get on the phone to Gary Johnson this evening.
