They deserve a pat on the back for opening up their home end to us. At last a club willing to use a bit of sense.
Everybody who wants to gets to see the game and Northwich make a bit of money as well - everybody's happy (as long as we win of course)
Tamworth, Chester, Rushden - take a lesson from the boys in Northwich.

i also think the northwich fans that traveled on boxing day deserve a pat on their backs too!
awful weather bottom on conference... and they were singing even when 3-0 down
fair played lads!

Yeah, they were signing "we're gonna win 4-3 just after they scored" fair play to 'em

And why should Chester swop their home end for the benefit of Shrewsbury supporters?
For your information it would not make any difference because both ends are identical and hold the same number of fans.

Who said anything about chester swapping ends with us? for one thing the people who run Chester on a matchday couldnt organise a prayer in a church.

well done to the northwich fans they sung throughout the game n were quite loud for the amount of them they have also made exceptions to the great support we get away from home which is gr8 considering people will travel to this game as its quite local n want to see the game n not get locked out
CHESTER u need to take note shrews have a huge away following!!!

i suppose you could say as they are playing at witton albions ground then the regulars won't really be all that put out
but it is a good decision and a possibly money maker i was dreading this one being all ticket and possibly missing out

The fact it's not all-ticket should swell the crowd even more - casual fans will decide on the morning whether or not to go. I reckon we'll take 2,000 plus given a fair wind.
By the way Chester fan perhaps you should open your home end to us. Even though you're top your crowds are abysmal.
We are a bigger club with a bigger following - as a small club perhaps you could take advantage and make a bit of extra cash like Northwich?
That plus the compensation when Mark Wright leaves should help you out of your financial troubles.

I was impressed by their loyalty to their team on Boxing Day, too.

I agree that its good of them to give the home end to Town fans but I reckon its cos they are playing at Witton, wouldn't think this would happen at the Drill...still, good move by the Vics...

Generous praise from Shrews fans for the Vics travelling support which isn't the largest but makes up for that with our enthusiasm for the team. I had a good afternoon out on Boxing Day. Nice ground, good sing song, battling performance against a clearly superior team. Looking forward to the game on New year's day and maybe a decent result for Vics for a change. Best wishes for the new year for your fans and team (after Jan 1st of course)

Don't know why you're concerned about our ground any more, you'll not need to worry about it next season when you are still in the Conference and we're in the 3rd. ;D
Worry about the number of points you've got not the size of your crowds.

"IF" you get in the 3rd... you won't hav just "us" moaning about your ground! Alot of 3rd division teams hav very good away following!
BTW that is a BIG IF at the start of my post.
Hav a nice day
