I remember that being belted out loudly at several away games in the late 70's early 80's, with for some reason visits to Crewe being the catalyst for it.
The big hotel opposite the Station at the top of Gresty Road was a favourite watering hole for Town fans and there used to be a big old West Indian gent who worked behind the bar, every time he left the bar to collect glasses the whole pub used to give him a rendition of zippidy do da, which he loved and played upto.
Happy days.

I'm very pleased with the way 1960's intrumentals are being adopted as footy songs.
After 'Apache' I'm looking forward to the Shadows tribute being continued with 'FBI'. More upbeat and catchy and the boys in Block 9 can wave their arms in time with it.
To follow, how about The Chantays 'Pipeline', Johnny and the Hurricanes 'Ja-Da' (which has the advantage that any 2 syllable name can be chanted to it), The Ventures 'Wipe Out' and Duane Eddy's 'Deep in the Heart of Texas'.

I remember once this being sung in the Royale Hotel at Crewe back in 1993/94 level 4 championship winning season.
