there must be at least 30 clubs that state their colours as blue and white, including joke outfits, like Chester. There is only one club in the top four leagues, that wear blue and amber. We must not let the Board get away with taking away our identity.

Design reasons = Roland wants it! He thinks it will look better.
At least someone has told us at last.

Is taking the current amber seats from the center stand not an option?

In my opinion, that would be even worse than Blue and White - and Blue and White would be total b******s!! and something that cannot be allowed to happen!
Surely as i said, seats from the center stand can be used, as they are Amber.

I would have expected the seats to reflect the club colours,
BUT I have to say I can't get too worked up about it.
I am much more concerned about whether I am going to have to queue to get in and out of the site, or how I can pass an hour or so at the ground before and after the game, so that I can avoid those queues

If you don't like it, make sure your season ticket entitles you a blue seat - they'd get the message if the white seats remain empty

I'm writing a letter to the club. Although I'm not expecting a response. What a joke. Talk about selfish and shooting yourself in the foot. Unless they are talking about seats for the balcony with the restaurant or toilet seats...which I doubt they are.

Wheres the PR in this? Why was the shews web not told first when they have been asked so many times by the fans? so much for the club and umbrela group / shrews trust working closely together. What else is about to come out that we are not going to like i think its a bout time for a Q and A with the bord. They must know most of the answers by now.

Been waiting for this to be announced as it was clear it was a "fait accompli" right from the moment Roland uttered his preference at his meeting with the fans following GPs appointment . As a : Season Ticket holder Shareholder OSC Member shrewsTRUST Board Member and "customer" I am disappointed and surprised at what appears to be a total lack of comminication with and recognition of the preferences of the fans and representative groups .Seems our opinions are only reuired where it suits !! As a member of shrewsTRUST I shall be demanding an early consultation exercise with it's members and other supporters groups . Speed is of the essence. Blue & Amber you know it makes sense !

Total over reaction in my humble opinion. If you don't like blue and white seats don't come, simple as. There are many more important issues then the colour of the seats.

Perhaps it's less about the actual colour of the seats, more about the lack of concern for the opinion of the paying fanbase

Yep there are Nick, but this issue reflects the way that the supporters get treated in so many spheres of STFC life. This isn't just about seats, this is about brand. It's about consultation with supporters. It's about the New Meadow being for Shrewsbury Town supporters. Will the New Meadow be 'fit for purpose'? Who knows.

Beginning to think i was alone. Does it matter ?... it's a plastic seat F.F.S. It's not in anyone's front room, you only have to sit on it for 90 minutes once a bloody fortnight.

don't like blue and white seats don't come, simple as. . Stupid post really. As paying customers for a number of years we derserve our say ( and opinion) and the idea of 'like it or lump it' is pathetic, we are the people who pay a lot of money every year to see them, arrange our holidays around them and even take time off work to watch them, so under no circumstances should we be given such a ridiculous ultimatum.

Actually it was a statement from a post, the rest of which you didn't highlight. In your post you mention opinions, well as I said it's just my humble opinion. People feel very strongly about this issue (For some reason) if you feel strongly don't come to the New Meadow, I fail to see what is stupid about that. There are more important issues, and anyway as far as I can tell the seat colour is not deffinate and may be changed. It appears that the main issue though is that the Club didn't consult supporters groups, maybe they have more important issues to deal with with than getting bogged down in arguements about seats that the majority of supporters will not sit in anyway. As for the "brand". Shrewsbury Town FC is the brand not Blue and Amber. I beleive the RAC changed their colours a few years ago, but it's still the RAC, Arsenal are still Arsenal, etc, etc.
