No sir I believe the arse is you. I dont care if anyone agrees/disagrees with me at all, at least I dont go around with a face thats so bloody miserable as soon as the Duane Darby comes up you get on your pc and bang on about the same cr@p. I can almost guaentee that every post that you have said about DD has basically been the same. Hence you bore me! One could argue that any post about DD has you mentioning the word "gentleman" in it JP. Everyone's entitled to their opionion and Rob talks some sense about Darbs but admittedly he is slightly rude at the same time

WELL WELL WELL jp OBVIOUSLY TOO MUCH BITTER TONIGHT jp. No apology for the caps.
Do you actually know me JP? Do you know what I do for STFC?
If I bore you with the truth so fliping what!!!!!!!! Its about time the likes of you realise that your comments are not gospel.
Dont read my boring posts is the easy answer or better still dont answer then.
If you cant answer the posts constructively the shut up.
Simple. I have commented since the Pratcliffe days about the influx of the meal ticket boys. DD is the last of them and they have been the down fall of this club. Tell me I'm wrong ?

Know one really knows who you are and no one really cares what you do for the club, we all do stuff, what makes you more important that JP??? or anyone for that matter? ??..... Actually Glyn, quite a lot of people know who he is and quite a lot of people know and care about what he does for the club You and JP may not know him but that doesn't make his opinion any more or less - if that were so then we really are a clique. Personally I like reading what Jonah says - I disagree with him on many issues but that is why this board is worth reading. Darby scored one goal in every 4 games as a striker and is beyond criticism Ryan Lowe scored one goal every 5 games as a midfielder and is subject to criticism JP sees the world in black and white and he is perfectly free to do so but people can and should disagree if they want to.

Here's the link, Steve Darby signs up for Boro Just to add to S&R's trivia about Nuneaton players - one of their players, Martin Reeves, was on trial at Shrewsbury last season (not THAT kind of trial!!!) - He played with Darby in the reserves

Dave, people have a rite to disagree with what or anyone says, but why do players have to put up with personal insults? yes if you think a player isnt good enough then fair enough, but it doesnt have to get personal. The players do read this board apparently, god knows what they think sometimes. BTW if anyone says about me having a go at Kevin Sharp, I have officially apologised for it

Dave is spot on. i find Jonahs thoughts and posts very interesting, they are devisive, they are a bit blunt and i don't agree with a lot of them, but it's the anti opinion post that makes this board interesting

but why do players have to put up with personal insults? yes if you think a player isnt good enough then fair enough, but it doesnt have to get personal. Unless it is someone you don't like, in which case you are as personal as you want. If you like the player other people are not allowed to be personal. Some players get villified, some players get supported, everyone has opinions, it makes this board a fun place to be. I think that we should be allowed to write personal criticism of players because sometimes our issues with them are personal - or relate to their personality and actions rather than their football.

Can i just state that i have know problems with people critising players, at all im one of the worst (its call independed thinking) All i had a problem with was some one flling back on the work they do for the club as a crutch in an argument... Oh and anyone who does/did not like Duane is a w****r!!!

JP
At the risk of upsetting you....
I seem to recall that your opinions of Ryan Lowe on this board got rather personal.
One notable night was the game against southend last season where Dunny said Lowe ducked out of a tackle in midfield and southend went onto to score.
You were by no means the only one....but still....the fact that Lowe might have read the board didn't seem to bother you then...

" dD is the last of the meal ticket boys."??
The name of a certain Mr Mark Stallard seems to have entered my thoughts...although a certain Mr Kevin Sharpe lags not too far behind!

Well everybody knows or at least should know what I think of the so called phenomenon Duane Darby - again all the pro DD tell us about just how good he was in The Conference and 'That Goal' at Stoke - if he wasn't there it would have been somebody else writing his name into the folklaw of STFC. But now the end has definitely come - I read with interest the pro DD supporters comments and wholeheartedly disagree with them all, but that's your opinions and I choose to differ. Jonah is in my opinion 110% correct about the great lump and there are many more silent supporters who believe that too, just as many no doubt as there are silent pro DD fans.
The simple fact is he's now gone - the pro brigade will wish him luck and the anti will say good riddance. Whatever the outcome it will be ridiculous for the pro to come on here if and when DD scores a few goals andstart saying we should have kept him. By his own admission he's dropped down to a much lower standard and 'IF' he's that good then he should score goals. He's gone, he's outta here and he is no more and in my opinion good bloody riddance.
JP and Jonah - stop squabbling - in your own eyes you are both correct, how others percieve your views is irrelevant.

I don't think that many would "come on here if and when DD scores a few goals and start saying we should have kept him" I think that most of us realise that his time at Gay Meadow was at an end, and he wasn't going to be playing many games for us even if he stayed until the end of the season. The point of this thread is that most people have simply wished Duane good luck, and thanked him for his time at Salop - particularly the goal that helped to get us back into the league. Without wanting to prolong the debate - yes of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, and many express it as this thread has shown - but I don't feel that it is necessary to bandy about any personal insults.
