Give 7/10 months or so and see how many turn to the messiah and agree with what he says today/last week

I can think of far worse managers...especially ones who are incredibly fat and ginger and can't keep their hands off their players' wives. GP stays.

I predict the next 5 Town managers including Gary Peters will be sacked. There we go I can now say I told you so for years to come. I am not going to put forward any suggestion for who should replace them because it is far easier to moan than anything else. On a serious note, the football this year hasn't been very entertaining but it's better than the entertainment of the variety served by by the last 2 Town Football League managers i.e. panicing are we going to stay up. So far Gary Peters has delivered everything he has promised. Until he stops doing that he has my backing. Next season he expects to be challenging for a play off place so lets see if that is the case in December. It makes a refreshing change to have a honest manager, who hasn't got "pie in the sky" ideas.

Messiah Come and find me on Saturday in the Exec Lounge- i'll be by the bar (may even buy you a drink if I'm worthy) I haven't laughed so much at a thread in ages. Sean is right- I can't think of more than a handful of us Exec members in our 30's.

Calling yourself the Messiah is bad enough, but has anyone noticed he's started to refer to himself in the third person? Any psychoanalysts online?

This is the funniest thread I have seen on any forum Apparently, on this forum, you have to give credentials and say what you've eaten for lunch, so here goes.... I am 44, live in Wellington and I am called Tim... and I had a prawn salad for my lunch, but my wife made it, I think the prawns came from Tesco, but I don't know how much they cost... Okay, I'm a Telford supporter, but I was once a (fairly) regular on the Riverside and a supporters club member.. I don't go in for the mad Shrewsbury/Telford rivalry stupidity (not seriously anyway), but here are my views... Peters is doing a good job based on budget. IMO it would be wrong to sack him at the moment.. he needs time to build with the resources he has available. He has not made any rash promises he can't keep (so far). It is wrong to name call on any forum, just because someone states an opinion that is different from your own. If, after all this, you do want a new manager, how about a nice man called McNally... he's out of a job I will now go and hide.

Hi, I am rob, and I am a lazy sod.
I survive on a mixture of cheap soup, cheap bread and beans on toast (limited budget)
What exactly is the craic with the executive club?
I stand on the riverside and have just taken a £500 interest free loan off of my dad,i also posess three suits , two pairs of black shoes and a couple of hats.
I can also speak the queens english if necessary.
Does that qualify me for the executive club?

You've failed to mention that you possess one thing that entitles you to join the Executive Club - a tie.

You have an executive lounge at The Meadow? Does it have deep comfy leather Chesterfields,Port and Cigars and an atmosphere of congenital bonhomie?

No it's a small dark dungen beneath the main stand.
The aroma generated by tied up gimps and sweaty oldman can often been smelt sifting through the main stand...

Rob, I don't think the tie will be too much of a problem surely? After all, if Daddy Skipworth has just chucked £500 at you I'm sure he can lend you a tie as well. Quick, catch him well he is obviously feeling under the weather!!

Rob, I have a shed load of ties I never wear nowadays, what colour do you fancy? (I just love government initiatives on increasing sport in schools - trackies to work all the time now! ) Edited to point out that I haven't felt able to contribute much to this thread as I'm uncertain as to the value of my house and I have a hole in the toe of my right sock.

lol, thanks sib, I'm not buying a tie, thats a waste of invaluable funds....
i should be fine, i live in a house with five other lads, one of them must own a tie, but its a mute point at any rate, because noone seems to know what is required to be in the executive lounge.
Does one have to be going bald with coffee breath (ie, bad...)

Have I mentioned that I've retired? Consequently I have many spare ties and several suits that will not be worn again And I have some old business cards that describe me as an executive. This must automatically qualify me for the exec club.
