How? You won't get seats and it's not practical to give you any of the east terrace. Brentford and Millwall were given seats werent they? And it is practical to give us half of the east terrace, it can easily be segregated in half where the dugouts are and as there are turnstiles at either end of the east terrace it shouldnt be a problem, so there If clubs like Altrincham can pull all the stops to allow us a bit more room and erect temporary segregation fences, then I'm sure you lot can, or a few Shrews supporters may decide to sample the delights of the David Hutchison terrace.

My Dad can put on his broad Telford (Coalbrookdale) accent if needed and pay his money at the turnstile. Many might think this a better option than a scrum at the other turnstiles.

I am a Shrewsbury fan who lives in Telford (along with many others), with a East Shropshire accent, how are they to stop me going into the home area?

We give away teams 2,000 tickets. However if it is seen that the away side are bringing more and we won't be nearly close to filling our own capacity we can increase the capacity of the away end by a further 500. What policy do TUFC have in such an event? I really do fear the worst for this one. From a selfish view point I fear that, traveling from London with loyalshrew and MartinB, we'll get to the ground to find we're locked out of the away end and can't watch the match.

we gave millwall 1460 standing tickets and in view of their reputation this made about 200-300 spaces available that werent taken - youll get this.
id expect you get the 200 seats aswell - meaning you get around 2000
my point is we cant accomodate more than that so why should we give up home supporting areas?
all the fair weathers will be out for this one and as long as shrews fans arent vocal and make trouble theyll be fine in the home end id think

Lee.If you read the thread properly most of the ppl on here are making the point that it is mad to not make the game all ticket as about 2500 to 3000 Town fans will turn up.What are the police going to do with over 1000 angry supporters?

That is my fear too Greg. Making it all ticket would surely deter those who haven't got tickets from going on the night. The police have no guarantee of what numbers will turn up/ be locked out from the game being all ticket. I really hope it all goes off without fuss but I do fear the worst.

that wasnt my point though - not making it all ticket does seem stupid but whats stopping shrews fans travelling to telford to buy tickets from the home end?
id have issued vouchers at all our home games before then and sorted it out through that as i expect shrews season ticket holders and priority card holders would outsell the 2000?
my point was that we shouldnt give you any of the home areas of our ground
edit: who says this is andys decision? if it is, strange indeed

If Telford think they will get close to capacity in the home areas, they are perfectly right in not making any allowances for away support. If away support is larger than away capacity, I would imagine West Mercia would rather have the away fans inside the home sections of the ground with makeshift segregation. Shrewsbury could sell away capacity without resorting to general sale. Telford (I assume) can't sell out home capacity without resorting to general sale, i.e. they do not have enough season ticket holders and other priority groups, which would allow away fans to purchase home area tickets. And....if Telford think they can sell out the home areas, they shouldn't give any extra space to Shrewsbury hence the tautoligical debate inherent in this post

Listen.. Judge Matt is speaking
It is NOT the fault of Telford United. Stop the personal attacks on Sandy Shaw etc
I agree with Lee's arguments. If we draw Man U in the cup and they only gave us 6,000 tickets and we wanted to take 10,000 then tough luck. Im sure Everton or Chelsea would have taken 8,000 if they would have all fitted in at GM. But the FAC games were our HOME games.
It is Telford's home game - they can only accomodate what they have available.
At GM we have a greater capacity for away fans and Telford (no dig) take a lesser following than we willto their place.
My view is that is the Police's decision and I sincerely hope they are prepared.
I hope the papers print the TRUTH and that both Telford and Shrews fans are united in the worry of what may happen.
Shrewsbury Town are only passing on the info that Telford have given them - a decision made by the Police.
Telford is not the best for parking. People will be coming from all over the place to see this one, as they will in the league.
It will be the footballing folk of Shropshire who will suffer. At the end of the day we are rivals but certainly on here I like Lee etc coming on with their healthy friendly banter.
Its the non-friendly banter that Im worried about.
We - both sets of fans - can only turn up early and hope for the best.
