I can name every race winner since 1990 pretty much I remember that overtaking manouver now. Brilliant. Also had to watch the Grand Prix again when I got up as I was so drunk I forgot what happened and even who won!!!

Norge: "I don't think I've ever seen anyone ever even try to over-take there before". Awful, awful driving.

Schumacher won that race, and Senna was killed at the Tamburello corner on Lap 7 after the sfety car went in due to the crash that seriously injured Bennettons JJ Lehto on the start grid. Roland Ratsenberger was also killed in 2nd qualifying at the Villeneuve corner, Barichello was hospitalised after rolling his Jordan at the final chicane. and Alboreto's wheel came off his Arrows and killed a minardi mechanic in the pit lane

Pete, bit of a F1 test for you.
Who said this?
"I’m really pleased to finish sixth today and get three more Championship points for the team. The race was a great team effort and the guys did a fantastic job during the pitstops. We didn’t qualify as well as we hoped yesterday but we were working for the race, so it was great to stay reliable and be able to make the most of a good race set-up. Let’s hope we can build on that at Indianapolis in two weeks now."

Norge. Are you trying to trick me? is that an indy car quote? If not it could be buttons first F1 points? Not a trick, couple of clues in there. Obviously last year, (3 points for finishing 6th) Finished 6th the race before Indianapolis

The reliability may be a clue in the quote.
Villeneuve was always banging on about how his car kept breaking down, as did Button.
So if it wasn't Button, must be villeneuve?

well, this thread has certainly jogged my memory!! like pricey says, i think me & pete were well on our way when we were encouragin him to overtake at 60mph on a bend (thats probably something to do with the 8 cans of stella we sneaked into superbowl tho ;D) pete > you put the scarf on and posed for a picture, fair enough but it was the fact you were still wearing it 20 minutes later that worried me not sure what pic you bought, but i did wonder how much the club were making out of the sale porky shrew - which one were you? did i swear at you? ;D that'll do for now, my knees aching

not sure what pic you bought, but i did wonder how much the club were making out of the sale The rest of us were all wondering how much STFC was making from the illegal booze you all sneaked in, as opposed to beer bought from the bar.
