The "authorities" is The Shropshire Safety Advisory Group, which includes representatives of Football Licensing Authority, Shropshire County Council, Shropshire Fire and Ambulance Service and West Mercia Constabulary.

Well Ive been away for a week or so and come back to this. No I am not Cynicalshrew and those who know me will have realised I dont need to hide behind a name to voice my opinion. An opinion by the way that is always correct Surely cant be for financial gain from the sale of the GM can it ;D Bit dodgy to say the least isnt it ?? While I am on the subject I am still waiting for an answer to the question of how much is the true cost of the new build and more importantly the true sale price of the GM. Surely this far into the project someone will have the answer . Terry my back garden isnt quite big enough mate ;D

Jonah - we're about a £1million over budget at the moment apparantly. The shortfall needs to be made up in commercial stuff. Bill W is an employee of the club paid a wage to manage the move into the New Meadow from a commercial viewpoint. The only way he could profit from new meadow is if his salary is performance-related. Colin P is a Director who has put 100K into the club. Interested that you choose to call them 'crooks' on a messageboard. That is slander I believe? Did you go to the Gary Peters Open meeting (I missed it). Would have been a good opportunity to put these concerns to the Board. Have you asked them any of these questions by the way. They're better placed than the majority of us to answer.

[/quote] It's actually libel because by posting on a messageboard the comments are published to a third party. It can lead to civil cases, as demonstrated by that Coventry City thing recently. You would have to have some very valid reasons before accusing someone of being a ??. Like if he/she had been found guilty in a court of law...so watch what you say!

Hi Gareth. Thanks for the reply mate. This early into the project and we are £1 million over the budget. Hope you are taking the p**s because this has serious implications. You dont make up that sort of money easily in 'commercial stuff'
I would be horrified if my business was in a similar situation. Nobody yet has been able to put any relevant figures to the sale/new build question despite some conversations with some very 'prominent' supporters.
By the way the truth cannot be slander.

doesnt matter if you are telling the "truth" as long as you can not prove it with hard evidence then it is libel/slander, Just ask those young activests who got sue by Macdonalds

Jonah - I'm not entirely sure of the figures but also am aware it happens at other clubs - Swansea had it. I'll be pressing for a progress report after Christmas. I did mean to say Libellous! But we do know what to expect from you! If I were you, I'd write to Keith. I did the same once Bill W was appointed, and got a reply straight away. The results you can read in the B&A fanzine Issue 2.........

I have modified the last few messages. Though the thoughts of Jonah was his thoughts alone, I felt that the B&A message board could be held responsible for such remarks. If you have any queries to my reaction, please PM me and I will glad explain further
