Is there anything we can do topersuade the Club that their plans are sh!te. ie. Petition, protest or mass letter/email writing? I think they are missing out on a great opportunity by not having a supporters bar. There are bugger all facilities for drinking near to the New meadow and I can envisage people going to Sainsburys and buying cans of beer and generaly making a nuisance of themselves by hanging around the ground p**sed. If you are reading this directors use you common sense. Gay meadow to pubs ratio.......... Crown, Dun Cow, Bricklayers, Old Bush, Seven Stars, Globe, Castle, hen & Chicks, Crown (Coleham) Masonic, Boars head, Prince of Wales, Belle Vue tavern, Grove, Hop & Friar Nags Head and I could go on and on. New Meadow to pubs ratio. Brooklands, Charles Darwin and possibly the Grove. All the above pubs get used on match days by fans, so where the bloody hell do you intend them to go. FFS lets have some common sense!!!!!!! Top post I've said before I seriously cannot comprehend that the club have not got plans for a big social club. If you ask anyone, one of their main gripes about the current site is the lack of facilities for fans to generally meet up and have a drink. The club are moving grounds to make money, a big social club is one of the easiest ways. For a new ground to have a social club of just 80, yes EIGHTY is laughable

This can't be right this can it? Is this real this, the 80 capacity? I'm sure the club wouldn't do sommat that daft? What we need is a seperate building from the ground, a supporters club as they have at Walsall...thats whats need...

It has to be suggested, could we, the supporters, find a plot somewhere off Oteley Road and raise the money to build our own social club building? If we dont have satisfactory facilities at the NM then we may as well go it alone, but then would SARA stand in our way?

Look at the alternative too.
If the building could be extended outwards, say, 15 and half feet, then the players' lounge and the office could be accommodated on other floors and the bar area could be in the region of 250 plus.
That may be cheaper.

I get the feeling we're being shunted, we want terracing, we're told we cant, we want a bar, we're told we cant have one that would cope with the demand, we're just being given what we get and it seems like we just have to shut up and accept it, should we?

Wake up and smell the roses Schizo. Doesn't matter how much we want terracing....it will never happen. for starters the gain the club will get from grants will outway the fans demands.
However, we still have the chance to put forward our PLEA's for a large supporters Bar. 10,000 capacity ground with a 80/90 supporters bar.......Their having a fecking laugh. If you go by the current attendance of 3,500+ and take into the account of how many of them drink in bars around the ground ( probally 500+) Surely the Board are not short sighted enough to miss a great opportunitiy. Get a grip Wycherley and Cronies.......BIG BAR NEEDED PLEASE!!!!!

I know mate, its just annoying considering new terracing was constructed at the NBH in 2000, the new Big Bank terrace was built at Exeter in 2000, two large spanking new terraces were built at Halifax in 1998. Bournemouth are considering building a terrace for the fourth and final stand at the new Dean Court, Roland says we need a 10,000 seater stadium because we want to reach the Championship, so surely there isnt a need to have 10,000 seats until we actually REACH that level and even when a club gets promoted to the Championship it still has three more seasons to convert to all seater, which Walsall and Rotherham did. I understand about the grants though, doesnt mean I have to be happy about it though! But I'm all for joining a campaign for a bigger supporters club at the NM!

I have to ask how if the club were to agree to have a supporters bar with space for 300+ with all the things that have been mentioned ie, darts, pool, gaming machines etc, how would it fit into the day to day requirements of revenue earning for the club, once a fortnight at capacity would not be enough, could you all guarantee that it would have say 80+ customers every night, also how could the room be put to use in the day. All this has to be thought out, could the room be part of another? ie could it be partitioned for most of the week for other events, conference etc. Yes I would like somewhere to go before and possibly after a match and to perhaps meet up with other supporters in the week.

How do you think pubs manage week in week out invisible lady? Darts, Pool, Dominoes are the key to most pubs/clubs trade. Other revenue is bought in by food. If you got 300+ in once a fortnight, that is the equivalent of some pubs weeks trade and they manage quite well on it. Also remember if the Club own the Bar, they would not be responsible for rent unlike a pub landlord. Admittedly I would prefer it to be run by the supporters rather than the club and we pay rent on the Bar

Might do both parties a favour if the club used Salopian or Woods Breweries.I would be game on match days.
