I usually see seagulls chasing pidgeons outside my window! Very entertaining! On the streets of Barcelona you can see pidgeon skeletons!

That's nothing at the MOD base near Shell Island they fly a Meteor. Not a particularly late mark one either.

Did jesus shag about?
he was the son of god so he must have been well endowed.
also what a great chat up line 'alright love, fancy a quick one, I'm the son of god y'know'
The deciples hung round with him just to get in on the action.
also why has moses got one name? is he like Pele or Ronaldo?

Twas either a Mk3, with tip tanks, or maybe a Strikemaster! Lovely sight nonetheless - if you like that kind of thing. I'll never forget the first time I saw (and heard) a Lightning - awesome. Tragic the way british aviation industry has been emasculated since the 50's!

FAO Petetheloon:
Apparently if you're a muslim (no offence meant here!) and you die a martyr, when you go to their heaven you get 72 virgin ladies AAAAAAAAND you get to meet Mahoma the man himself!
Much better than Christanism!
End of rant! ;D

"OldGit" The JP is used at Cosford for Flight Line Training. If you ever go past by train during the week you'll see them lined up and trainies marshalling them. So technically they're still on the RAF's inventory

If you believe the Priory of Sion, then Jesus did in fact "shag about". He was married to Mary Magdeline (apparently) and she had his kid, called Sarah, and the decendants are allegedly alive and well and living in France This priory of Sion are related in some way to the knights Templar who fought in the crusades, and allegedly hid the "holy grail" (not the cup thing, but other relics, including the parts of the bible that the people who first compiled it didn't want you to see) its an interesting topic. well, I think it is.

I the controls of a Jet Provost several times during my RAF career, we used to fly to Shawbury, I would get out and catch the bus to town wearing my flying suit.
I was also at CFS Little Rissington at the same time (1967-69) the Red Arrows were based there. We got so blase about seeing the routine every day that we never looked up when they were practicing.
The late '60's were an exciting time in avaiation. Prototype Concordes were being tested down the road at Fairford and I remember being at Farnborough for an exciting an impressive demonstration by early versions of the Harrier jump jet.
