This Cramb v Darby thing will never go away. At the end of the day it comes down to "extremely talented footballer" v "a trier"!! At Shrewsbury Town, rightly or wrongly, the "trier" will always be the winner with the fans!! As long as a player gives 100 per cent he will be accepted, regardless of ability (Well, apart from Gregor ) Cramb has more ability in his Blonde Scottish locks than Darby has in his entire body - yet Darby runs around, throws a few elbows, put a few tackles in and is a terrace "hero"!! Me, I love 'em both But Cramby for me

Just when you think the tide has turned and his goal in the final will be enough for the doubters to come one here and give credit where its due - some of you are not man enought to admit your wrong!!!! He might be talanted - in fact is talanted - but it only makes it worse when hes not doing the buisness - he should be - i hope Darbys scores the winning goal in next years playoffs then he might get some respect I give up - i will shut up about Darby till next year now and see what develops over the summer - In years to come you will all remember that goal as one of the most important in the 2000's and cramb will be remembered for nothing really

Pricey, I like Darbs too believe me
But I still think Cramby is the one to play up front in the 3rd division, Darbs gives us a different option, but with more time and space, Lukey and Colin could be deadly

I would say that we should agree to disagree, but we're having far too much fun. It's nice arguing about the detail when you've got a summer ahead of you and have just been promoted ain't it! Yeah it is - but - i cant belive as iain just said that Crambs the man for next season cos ther will be more space - errrr - i think that darby lues been working fine lately why change it - we normally complain when Quinn makes changes for no reason As i said the summer will revela a lot i think I dont think all of Luke, Darby and Cramb will be here come first day of season personally but anyone of them could go!!! Out of intrest what would Darby have to do before you would consider him better than Cramb? - come on Iain, faginy and Gaz tell me?

Hes not a better more talented player
The thing I like about Darbs is that he always gives 120% though sometimes he doesnt seem to achieve anything... That said he has been an asset to us this season
BUT
I like Cramby because he is a goal creator and scorer, look how many times he has saved us this season... and remember goal 3 against Stevenage.... Crambs excellent set-up for Darbs

there is nothing he can do cramb is a better footballer than darby. simple Then your more closed minded than me - Cramb could always become one of my faves again - and it would only requre a shed load of goals and more commited performaces That though will never happen

he showed just as much committment when he came on against Exeter at home, when he came on against Barnet and yesterday. One might say he showed far more commitment to the cause than Darby would have done against Gravesend, as he every decision affecting Salop that night personally

Agreed with Jeevsey. Cramb is just a better player But i agree with pricey that Darby tries harder Cramb will benefit from the space given to him in Div 3, but so will Darby. The only question mark over Darby is that I am not 100% convinced of his fitness. I say play whoever is in form.

If Darby could maintain the type of form he showed first half at Hereford and in the final, for long periods next year, I genuinely think he could score 15 goals+ and have a storming season.
Then I'd be convinced he was an excellent signing - and maybe a better signing than Cramb.
We'll see. I genuinely want them both to be here on August 7 2004, and to see them both on form. If that were true, I think they may well work as a front partnership.

Just think Pricey lad if it wasn't for a totally incorrect linesman's flag we could all be here celebrating a Colin Cramb inspired Salop promotion party...

Oh so important goals are scored from outside the box Porkey. And crambs scored a fair share of his in the 6 yard box!!!
Anyway in fairness above i did say what cramb had to do - about 2 pages back
Show more effort (in fainess his last sub showing have showen that) and score more regualry in big game - and most importantly never have another on or off field tantrum just cos things are not going his way
Then i will sit up and applaud the Crambster

Personally I think the CC/DD debate has got to silly levels. Both are decent players who have been treated differently. DD was given the support of his manager when going through a barron spell, CC wasn't - not that I condone Cramb's public outcry at the time which I think was unprofessional.
In an ideal World I'd have both in the squad come August. However I don't think either player would be settled for playing long spells on the sidelines and if Rodgers stays then one ultimately will.

"Oh DDAS is full of s**t, its full of s**t, s**t and more s**t, oh DDAS is full of s**t"

I'm not saying Darbs isn't a good player, because he is, but to give him the 'god' status is going too far.
I'm sure he'll be the first to admit that there is plenty of room for improvement yet.

Deep down, you know that Colin Cramb is better than Duane Darby (for Football League anyway!)
COLIN CRAMB CRAMB CRAMB!
