I went for a walk around the stand when the meeting finished tonight, and I've got it planned! Tomorrow I win the lottery. Buy the place. Knock two board rooms into one and use them as a type of living quarters and live at the ground!

The Money Song by Eric Idle a la Monty Python
PRESENTER: I've got ninety thousand pounds in my pyjamas. I've got forty thousand French francs in my fridge. I've got lots of lovely lire. Now the Deutschmark's getting dearer, And my dollar bills would buy the Brooklyn Bridge. PRESENTER and CHORUS: There is nothing quite as wonderful as money. There is nothing quite as beautiful as cash. Some people say it's folly, But I'd rather have the lolly. With money you can make a splash. PRESENTER: There is nothing quite as wonderful as money. CHORUS: ...Money, money, money, money. PRESENTER: There is nothing like a newly minted pound. CHORUS: ...Money, money, money, money. PRESENTER and CHORUS: Everyone must hanker For the butchness of a banker. It's accountancy that makes the world go 'round. CHORUS: 'Round, 'round, 'round. PRESENTER: You can keep your Marxist ways, For it's only just a phase, For it's money, money, money makes the world go 'round. CHORUS: ...Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, moneeeeey!

Thought it was a good evening. Expected the 'Tub Thumping' from the Supporters Direct deleagtes from Exter and Chesterfield, as I've heard on the grapevine thats what they do. I think Telford have an advantage over us in terms of Supporters Trust setting up as basically Telford only have or two supporters bodies. We have over ten, if you count things like Blue and Amber , the ASFC and fanzines. SteveNelsonFan Club was talking to me last night and saying Salop should go for it big time, and it is still my intention that we do go for Trust status in teh future. But it willtake a ot of work, a lot of people helping out, and all the groups working together. Shakey .. thanks for introducing me as a Telford fan!!!

The other thing that got me last night. All the support from councillors and MP's. Ok the cynic in me would say they are chasing votes, but it did make me wonder if Mr Pooley did go tits up in the future, whether our elected leaders would show as much support and passion as these guys did?
To be fair Paul Marsden has been brilliant with STFC, especially over NM, but can you imagine Banks, Fox et al if we only had four days to survive!

Think the difference there Ade is that the council has a stake in Telford Uniteds ground whereas SABC don't.

Think the difference there Ade is that the council has a stake in Telford Uniteds ground whereas SABC don't. they technically own the land but any involvement in last nights meeting would be voluntary and out of a desire to help
