After all the thread on Tickets today - back to the Footy again Its the 89th Minute 0-0 - town break and the ball eventually falls to XXXXXXXXX who fires it in to the back of the net and wins promotion for the town. The question - who would you want personally to score that goal and win promotion for the town and go down in Town history for ever??? - not who you think would score it but who you personally would like to see do it and why Pretty clear for me - Darby - just so i dont get piicked on any more and because no matter what he will be working his ass of in the final and will deserve a goal.

I'd want it to be Rodgers. Because he personifies Shrewsbury town.
But anyone will do

JAMO (promoted from the VETS to the first team) ;D Why? Because I played in the same school team as him and he does a hilarious girly skip with arm aloft when he scores, it would bring 28,000 to their knees

RYAN LOWE!
The scenes from Saturday say it all and I would love it for him to score the winner.
LOWEY MUST STAY NEXT SEASON!!!

Between Super Sam and Lowey, both have the chance to become Gods of the Meadow.

Naturally myself - through a freak accident Town have only 11 fit players, so they pick a lucky fan to be a sub, I come on for the injured Luke Rodgers in the 89th minute then scuff a tap in into the back of the net to secure promotion ;D
But in all seriousness there's been plenty of good suggestions on this thread, and I wouldn't want to choose to be honest.

I know some of you lot wouldn't want it ......... But........... From my point of view as a Reading fan, I couldn't think of a better way of seeing Quinn possibly finish his career. I trust you'll allow me that selfish moment.

One of two players for me:
1) Luke as he's taken so much s**te off the other conference fans this season it would be classic for him to pop up and score the winner.
2) Young Dave Edwards - after all he is a town fan and just think what it would mean to him!

You could give great reasons for anyone- Howie- just the novelty value...tho if it was 0-0 on 89 minutes and he went forward I wouldnt be best pleased Challis- p**s the Telford fans off! And truly establish himself in the hearts of his new fans. Tinno- Captain scores the winner...nuff said. Lowe- Because as Murray so brilliantly puts it...hes just happy to be here. The look of jubilation and passion on his face if he scored the winner would make grown men cry with joy. Tolley- Local lad, gets abit of unwarranted stick I feel, hopefully he could lay that to rest. Plus, hes Welsh and I would have great fun on here at the expense of Jamo and Ratcliffesghost Edwards- Town fan, came through the ranks (including the ASFC). I think he is the only one who could truly say he dreamt as a kid that a moment like this would happen for Shrewsbury Town. All kids dream of scoring the winner in a cup final...he will have dreamt of doing it for US. Sammy- Because he loves the club as well and it would be the perfect end to his re-juvinated season. O'Connor- Hasnt got long left, would be a good send off. Lukey- Like someone else said, he personifies STFC. The young lads wanna be him, the young girls just want him, many of the older generation see him as our best talent since Sir Arthur. Darby- Just to see faginys reaction Cramby- Wouldnt it just be one of the most ironic things ever? Banim- The lad finally coming good and properly announcing himself to the fans. Quinn- Just for a laugh

These big games do seem to have defining moments dont they- the comparison I would make is with the Exeter great escape- one player who's STFC future was in the balance, Mickey Brown, became the hero and earnt himself another contract. So when the pressure is on and the tension is unbearable, Ryan Lowe will do just what comes naturally to him- score- see you next season Ryan As for your dream Ant, well I hope it doesnt go to penalties

One man has done his upmost to fire STFC to two promotions (div3 and Conference) and save us from promotion. Fromm all accounts he doesnt really still want to be at the club, and feels they are holding him back, yet he still continues to do his God damn (sorry God : best for the club. One man and one man only Lukey Rodgers, what a perfect send off it would be for him and us. A true Town legend, when the chips are down, he comes through for us. Failing that a Sam Aiston header would be good, might even shut Pilch up
