To everyone who participated in todays B&A Youth Vs B&A Vets match at SCAT What a laugh. A brilliant morning. The final result was Youth 4 Vets 4, Veterans winning on pens. Having met the likes of TelfordShrews, Jamo etc i can say that it is a honour to be in the B&A community All that is left is for Town to beat Stevenage and this day will be complete.......

well said TOAO, it was great to put some names to faces. The whole morning was very enjoyable. For an old fossil like me it's very encouraging that the young people who actively support our team are such a great and friendly bunch. To often the youth of our town and indeed team get a lot of bad and negative press, some of it derserved, some of it not. It's great to know that there is a positive side of things. Thanks everyone who took part.

Thoroughly enjoyed the match. After the Vets took that early two goal lead I could see that the Youngun's suddenly realised that they had a game on their hands. All credit to them to get into the lead but the Vets have to take the plaudits for keeping those creaking frames going getting the fourth goal. , and then winning the penalty shootout when Pete Downward saved Ants spot kick. Great fun and thanks for not giving me too hard a time as the refs assistant. Well done Pilch lad thought you reffed the game with style

Yes thanks to everybody that helped to organise the game- it wouldnt have been my wish to watch most of it from the sidelines but thats the way it goes- lots of credit to the other vets for making it through the game without any subs available. Some good performances on both sides in an exciting game- I hope the interest remains to have a couple more next season. Congratulations to Pilch who, despite all the flack this week, demonstrated that he is a very good ref and well done to the linos also-

It was good fun. I think a draw was a very fair result. If only we had 5 penalty takers instead of four! I hope a re-match is on the cards?

Thought we played quite well for the first match and I thought I kept Harmer hill shrew at bay for most of it. You were a credit Afro, well done as opposed to that shirt pulling big mouth Rob I think I am going to call it a day for these games as I am too old and the legs will not responed Let the side down twice today and trod on Matts hand So if there is no Town report in the Star Monday I am to blame Just echo what Jamo put that it is a credit to the young ones to get out and do something positive Finally my wife and daughter caught most of the match and really enjoyed watching the game. Daughters highlight, Wrightys goal line clearence Well done everyone involved

Cheers all, it was a great game, I thought the U-20s should have won inside the 90 mins having the better of the game but all in all an excellent morning.
Well done all.

2 things. 1. Yes mUrray got a hatrick, but he missed 2 one on ones and missed 2 open goals. Great hatrick tho 2. You're only saying that Harmer because I my "smooth intelligent" passing made you and the left back look like monkies less said about the crossing the better. Twas a great laugh tho. And a to young anthony for behaving himself
