Do you want STFC? Do you want STFC to close? They undoubtedly want STFC, but they don't want one crumb of hassle regarding them and they don't want to actually do anything at all for them that will cost a penny. You watch the buggers put on a civic reception if you win promotion or the trophy though! They'll even say what a credit you are to the town etc...

Couldn't agree more.
I would just be interested to see if they answered like they vote, on block.
I'm quite sure from 2 or 3 Cllrs I will get an honest ' I couldn't care if you disappeared tomorrow'
This is why I need help with the questions, more than one head etc.. I will put the info to the star, the board all the Cllrs and most important us lot first, I will be getting a visit from my local Cllr soon over this matter and some local issues and I want some really good stuff to put to him.

Have they already found their way past the covenant?

The covenant won't be a problem as far as I know, the latest 'Ask Keith' seemed to indicate this too ...

with reference to the boreholes id be very surprised if it had anything to with groundwater 200 ft below the site, in fact i dont think you could have boreholes in the conventional sense going that far.
its more likely that the boreholes are for testing what the car park is made up as i think im right in saying it was formed from ashes from steam trains. if i was the potential buyer of the site i would want to know whether it is contaminated and whether i would need to clean it up as part of a new development. if it were so toxic that it needs to be dug up and shifted off site that would increase the costs of the developemnt. i would want to know this proir to making the club an offer for the sites value.

re the covenant, probably only after taking the whole issue to court.
Question for the survey
Is the council trying to force STFC out of the GM on the cheap?
