To hold the event the same night as the last match means I won't be able to attend, I'll either still be at GM refusing to leave or my sorrows will be so drowned I wouldn't be able to find the Lord Hill

Not saying that.... but the fact that a good proposrtion of people have never seen a number of players on this thread play or no much about them, means if your promoting a night when hes the star, a lot of the "younger" people will be put off.... IMO
But i think the idea suggested to get as many as possible renders this problem obsolete, its its not a problem.

Still don't see how it's a good point...
presumably though the event is aimed at all supporters? If so, then there's a significant proportion who have been going longer than the last 10 years but most them probably don't post on here.
Given that the last 10 years have probably been the worst in our history, I'd quite like to forget a large part of it.

Think you will find that quite a number who post one here have been going far longer than 10 years reading some of the threads over the past few months. I've been going nearly 30 and I know of several who post regularly that have been going far longer than that.

However, my point, badly expressed, was that the age range on here is probably still fairly skewed (towards younger age groups) compared to our support in generally and if we want an event that represents our supporters (as a whole) then I presume we'll contacting fans in other ways. That's still not very clear is it. Anyway I think we're in agreement
