The fans of STFC have put up with a decreasing standard of football for over 15 years
Have we gone as low as we ever will or will things be worse in 10 years time.
We must be the most passive supporters in the country when it comes not rebelling against the board - we have fallen from division one to the conference and accepted it.
Is the future bright or not
This is not an option on the poll but would you activley protest against the board if we we don't get promoted - will you have had enough by then?

With all these rumours of players not liking someone, players not travelling together, rumours of problems regarding the directors and past employees and also the forever saga of the new meadow, I can see us staying were we are for a few years to come.

I may be optomistic or perhaps just stupid but I do think the future is brighter than the immiediate past I think we will get to the play offs and have a chance of going up that way but whatever would expect us back in the league in the next 2 or 3 years max My optimism isnt based so much on whats happening at the club at the moment as the fact that we have seen that town fans simply will not let this club slip furher and are determined to see us back in the league Would I protest if we dont get promoted? That depends, not for example if we lose the play off final to a dodgy penalty but I would be minded to protest if we dont make the play offs With the potential of our squad and the money spent there would be no excuse for that .and in my opinion JQ would have to go

We have to get back into the League this year--probably via the play-offs. If we don't, I can see our fan base being reduced to the levels of last year. I am not convinced that the current squad wouldn't take us straight back down. Some of the games this year have been no better than last and against much worse opposition.

if we get promoted this season or next and the new meadow comes online i think the future for STFC looks very good.
the level of support this season for what is a failed team has been outstanding. having worried about what relegation would do to our support for some years i can t believe its so good. just imagine what we would get with a succesfull side.
if you look at donny rovers now they look a far stronger club than the one that was in third divsion a few years back, hopefully we can do the same.

If our support goes back to what it was last season, it'd still make us the best supported club in the Conference. Mid 3000s isnt bad.

In 78 i was 13.We were a div 3 team no crowd crap ground and a good team. 2 yesrs later we were cup heroes and in old div 2 playing NEWCASTLE /IPSWICH / WEST HAM/ CHELSEA / SUNDERLAND/VILA/ we got to 8th had two new stands got a decent crowd and big teams were scared of us we had no million ares no big backing but were respected. We can do it again and why not go one beter Crewe are a small town in Cheshire, Shrewsbury is a big town in Shropshire. Im from Whitchurch and it they can be a (BIG TEAM) in rugby circles a town like Shrewsbury should have the money and people to get in to div one if not prem and stay there.
