Just taken delivery of CM4.
Any tips on achieving success for the Town?
Also which downloads/patches are the most useful for this game?
Thanks TexMex

Don't ask me, I got sacked for handing the bosses an ultimatum for mo' money for wages in my first game, and have reached mid-table obscurity in my second. Sold Luke, sold JT, wish I could get rid of cash-eater Cramb, Fitz is the 'bitz up front. And if you somehow get Williams away from Telford, nicely done (20 crossing..... wow!) ;D

first season came 14, sence won promotion, third came 9th ish, fourth won division two and this season im top after 8 games. ive got jermaine mcsporran, cherno samba and luke up front, paul evans, michael foley sheridan, silas in midfield and a top defence. i've signed lots of quality young ex prem players. they seem to be doing the buisness. i got rid of loads of my players in first few seasons whish got me a bit of cash, i now have a pretty good team for shrewsbury, thought i am 20k over the wage budget per week or month whatever it is.

Ref the original questions:
-Get the training schemes right and keep them varied, many choose to ignore the training 'as it doesn't work' but it certainly does!
- Never play players which are less then 96% fit if you can, more than likely they'll play crap and will be more prone to injury
- During a game never let the player go less than 70%fit, sub them if there getting near to it.
-At conference level be tempted to play the long ball tactic or better still use a 4-4-2 formation using the direct ball and counter attack.
-Always use 1 striker with good jumping and heading as they usually pick up goals from corners and long throws- even if your playing s**te they can save a game!

What worked for me was loaning u19s from utd, liverpool, chelsea etc. and look for when they are released and offer them contracts. Always use maximum loan players and offer no money!! usually get some good players without killing your budget. This got me four promotions in five years!! I have just downloaded patch 4.1.3. cant see it has done much but speed of 2d highlights is better as less unimportant action shown. Us shrewsbury fans are very demanding so be careful!! I was 4th in Prem and fans are restless as they expect me to win the league every year now ;D!! hard to recommend players as random database but look for :- Adam Birchall (ST), Aaron Lennon (AM RC), Ramon Calliste (ST) Also Eagles and David Fox from Utd but may not be able to get these two until you have been promoted to at least 1st div!!)
